I'm just trying to connect the dots. If they wanted to cut him they would have done it during initial cutdown. Nothing changes between week 1 and week 3. That's why the only thing that makes sense to me is a trade. They already risked players to waivers to keep Taco during initial cutdown, i.e. Cedric Wilson.
Waiving Charlton also carries a cap hit. They are hanging onto him hoping he has value. He clearly does not.

They only have what every outlet considers arguably the best talent in the leaague...lol ok incompetent.
In regards to trades, yes, they are incompetent if they were approached with any offer and decided to keep him and eventually have to cut him.

You're really mad....lol what does this have to do with any boss. You sound like and immature baby whining about a pick.
pot calling kettle black much..lol

I sound "immature" check yourself homer. I can accept the fact that the Cowboys totally screwed the pooch here and wasted a commodity as valuable as a first round draft pick. You're clearly not mature enough to face it and want to shrug your shoulders and pull some "it happens" and "lol's" like a child. But yeah, be ignorant enough to call anyone else the "whining immature baby".

Like I said, tell your boss "it happens" the next time you cost him millions of dollars, you'll be flipping burgers somewhere else real fast.

But if that is the case I don't think they randomly reverse course week 3. To me, the scenarios when Quinn comes back (ordered most likely to least likely):

1. Taco traded
2. Taco stays
3. Taco cut

Oh they're surely trying to hold out for something, and they're clearly not getting anything. It will soon reach the point where they're just forced to cut him. Epic failure status.

I'd say options 1 and 3. I don't see how they would keep him at this point.

So you as a negotiator would except any offer instead of waiting until you have to make a decision in him. Yeah that's dumb negotiating. So in that regard they should've just given Zeke his 20 million in February...lol

How should people view a 1st round pick who can't even make the active roster on Sunday?
And it makes it worse that we passed on watt there to take taco. I hate to beat a dead horse but man. I'm no analyst but I was not impressed from what I saw from taco in college. Didn't seem like a first round talent. But he had the size that scouts like I guess

Again, if he is inactive anyways, Quinn has nothing to do with it.

They already know what his market is. All it would do is take a few phone calls. And taking it down to the wire where they have to make a decision means only one thing. They risk getting nothing for him. He gets cut and Dallas gets zero. There is very little to "negotiate" here.

This would not be the first time they have been waited out.

Again, you're whinging over something that is of no affect to you. Immature at its finest. They are 1-0 and you're crying. Pull you skirt down Bro.

Who's the child crying about a game , think you better check yourself.

It's not necessarily the market, that can change week to week. All it takes is an injury.

Wrong.

D-Law started showing promise since his 2nd year (2015) with 8 sacks, since he was injured all of his rookie year (2014) and most of his 3rd year (2016). In his 4th year in 2017 (2nd year healthy), he tore it up with 14.5 sacks, then followed it up last year (his 5th year) with 10.5 sacks.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LawrDe00.htm

So, as you can see, it's a big difference trying to compare Taco with D-Law. D-Law has been producing from the beginning when healthy. Taco has been healthy but failed to produce at all.
Not even then. He had 2 sacks in the playoffs his rookie year once he got healthy, including the game sealing play in the playoff win. This nonsense about him needing 3 years is revisionist history hogwash.

You first. I'm mature enough to handle the fact that they blew it big time. Clearly you're not honey. A first round pick busts out complete and you can't ahdnel it and try some "big whoop, it happens" bull****? Yeah, it's real clear who's mature enough to handle things and who isn't.

And now it's about "1-0"? Which has absolutely nothing to do with this conversation? Yeah, everyone can see who the real "crybaby" is here. Go shake your pom-poms somewhere else and let the adults talk.

I don't understand what you mean when you say Quinn has nothing to do with it. Quinn will take a spot on the 53 man roster when he comes back, which means someone will have to be cut.

That would be you honey. You brought up "1-0!?!?!?!?" as if that justified anything. Newsflash, cutie pie, it doesn't.

Clearly you "don't care", that's why you're all over this thread trying to make excuses about it. Nothing says "don't care" like 20 posts. You're just not bright enough to realize that, are you?

Thread after thread about what a waste Taco has been. When was it that D-Law started showing promise? Ya his 3rd year, until then he was a bust and injury prone. Now he is the $20 million dollar man. Say what you want, the kid showed up in the pre-season. Now there is a thread comparing him to Bobbie Carpenter. How about we wait and see if he shows up this season. They trade him and he blows it up there will be thread after thread on how the FO screwed up by trading him!

Nope, it was his 2nd year he showed promise. Taco sucks. Get over it.
