One good thing is if we have enough of a lead JG can't goof it up with bad clock management, lol

Only 18 Head Coaches active today in the NFL have made the playoffs & won, most of the other coaches haven't because they are still in their first years.

Here is the list.

Garrett is at the bottom of the list, after a 10 year tenure ... errr ' process .'

Average playoff wins per year as HC .

That's right folks - Jason has this team rolling on all cylinders coming out of the gate. Say what you want about him but players seem to really enjoy playing for him, he's involved in personnel decisions and has helped build this team, he seems to really have the respect of all of the players on the team, and they stay out of trouble for the most part. Also, I'm sure he had a big say-so in the Kellen Moore, Kris Richardson, and John Kitna hires.

It's time we give him a little credit!

He deserves just as much ‘credit’ for this offense as an anchor does tied around a swimmers feet

The Cowboys do have a good culture right now and that's vital over a long march up the mountain. Sure, I suppose Garrett deserves some credit in that. It's also key to avoid malcontents in the locker room, and to have solid team leaders.
If Garrett gets some of the credit who do you give most of the credit to for the good culture?

Lets start playing real talent because right now 2 weeks into the season doesn't mean much of anything. Nice to be sitting at 2-0 but It's not how you start, it's how you finish.

Why are you starting in the middle of the rebuild though? Frederick? Martin? Tyron? DeMarcus Lawrence. It didn’t all magically starting 2016.
the drafting by mcclay and Stephen begn earlier, including the names you just mentioned. but Stephen began to take control of things after the 2015 debacle when garrett and the coaching staff totally fell on their faces. he decided enough was enough. he totally cleaned house on our d-backs getting rid of scando, carr, church and wilcox, bringing in an entirely new group as well as a new coach to teach them. he's turned the wr's into an outstanding group in just two years. I could go on, but why?

Even if the Cowboys were to win a Super Bowl this season it wouldn't justify the past 12 seasons and the talent Garrett has wasted.

Even if this is his last year, he leaves the team in a much better place than how he found it. Best coach since Jimmy.
other than parcells, the bar was set very low after jimmy.

You're having a discussion with people who made up an entire fantasy scenario in their head about Garrett's role. "GArreTT does NoT do AnYthinG but ClAp!"

Its like talking to a janitor or a security guard at a company while they are saying "Man, the CEO just sits in his office drinking coffee all day".

the best o-line in the NFL from 2014-2018,

They gave up the second most sacks in the NFL last year, is that what they were the best at?

We had one healthy starter last year and Collins was completely inconsistent because of the technique changes from Paul Alexander.

Even if the Cowboys were to win a Super Bowl this season it wouldn't justify the past 12 seasons and the talent Garrett has wasted.

There you have it. The complaints have moved from "Garrett can't win" to "He can't make the playoffs" to "He can't win a playoff game" to "He hasn't won a Super Bowl" and now the winner - "Even if he wins a Super Bowl, he still sucks".

He shouldn't get any credit, because he has less influence on this team than any point in the last decade.
