The 49ers have been surprisingly dominant and no one is talking about them.

Was there ever any doubt? Only gonna get better. These guys are just warming up. Zeke, Pollard n Dak should make good with the running lanes.
NYG OL is doing well...Hmmm...only if they had a young #6 overall 1st round QB to throw dimes, and a Top 2 RB in the whole league to run behind that OL. Wonder what's holding them back.
But you know what....they adjusted, limited the problem. In years past c.green and dak hung out to dry with no adjustments. And they adjusted quickly[/QUOTE]Connor Williams... He was terrible and looks lost except for combination blocks with Frederick.
We don't have a top 2 back in the league. If were gonna go by PFF measures we have an above average back an elite back should do more with a line like this. So far this year, he has a 69.6 grade. Zeke is the next Dez Bryant very good back, but this home crowd has homered him to what he isn't. He is durable and dependable, if that makes you elite alone than sure.
This team is full of talent !
Next year contracts end , ... its all or nothing for this year .
SB or Bust in 2019 .
I bet he has had the most carries too, it mainly just suggests he's durable, nothing about his actual game on the field. He's running behind one of the best offensive lines in the league, if he was truly elite he should be separating himself from the rest of the crowd, but he's just in the pack. On the old forum I had posts showing pictures of lanes as wide as semi's that he was running through a couple of those games were against the 49ers, Bengals, and Packers where anyone could of done what he did.
Zeke is really good about getting 1 or 2 hard yards, but beyond that I don't see nothing special about him. He basically just gets the what is expected and not really much more, his vision could be better, he's not breaking tons of tackles, not his fault about the last one, but he isn't that big of a factor in the passing game either. There was a poster that articulated this in this thread much better than my words that can shown by statistical analysis. Is Zeke good, sure, do I think there is more than 1 back better than Zeke? Yes. I see that you have already stated that statistics don't tell the whole story, but being a Cowboy fan who certainly will have a bias does? I'll take the facts you take the story.

I'm trying to understand why a Cowboys' fan, assuming you are one, would feel compelled to argue at this point in a season that is going great, that our RB is not that good.

Crazy the difference he has made. I laughed last year when the fired the O Line coach. Didn't think it would matter.Colombo deserves all the credit here.
We might have four Pro Bowl OL this year.
One thing I will give Jason Garrett for (well, the only thing I can think of for now) is that he began to invest in the offensive line. I always thought our penchant for the glamor positions (WR, RB, QB) neglected what the team needed at its foundation - strong offensive and defensive lines. So when we got Tyron Smith, then Zack Martin then Travis Frederick it marked a turning point for our philosophy. And that's what you need to win football games, especially late into the season and the playoffs - see the Giants O Line of the 80s/90s, the Hogs (Commanders) in the 80s/90s and the Cowboys of the 90. We have the foundation on offense to get to the Super Bowl. Now let's see … about the coaching.
Because the drafting of Tyron Smith coincide with the hiring of Jason Garrett as coach, and because Jason Garrett has tried to emulate the 90s Cowboys offense which, of course, featured a dominant offensive line. Why are you giving Garrett credit for that?
Lots of underlying arguments between posters on here that get proven every day whether we win or lose.
For example...….....The Cowboys offense with Moore outlines how bad Garrett and Linehan were as play callers.

Although Will McClay was on board with the Cowboys, I don't think his influence was as strong as it is now.
The surprising thing is how dominant the line has been in pass pro. Historically, run blocking has been its strength.
Meanwhile, someone needs to put an APB out on Philly's O-line. Wentz has been getting hammered.
