Kamara is a top 2 back in the league, but Rod had our Dline ready to play against one of the best Olines in the league. Very impressive showing.

Other positives include:
La'el
LBs looked soooo much better than early in the season
Byron continuing to be a lockdown corner
Jarwin's playmaking ability

From what I can remember, we had a pretty solid night against the run. There was some wild, Bayou triple option look-a-like Voodoo Magic play that we kind of got gashed on..then the Two Taysom Hill Touches  for like, 10 yards total..

Again, from what I remember, the run defense was pretty okay..if not better

Yep and 5 sacks too and no tds allowed. Pretty good effort by the d all aroundm, that unfortunately was wasted by thr offense.

You should.

They had 3 TDs on the road with Teddy against a good Seahawks defense.
I have been saying for a few weeks that there is concern with our defense. No one wants to talk about it because they are just "good enough." Here's a few things of concern:

117 yards team rushing against us.
10 rushing first downs.
They beat us in ToP.

Our defense couldn't get off the field. Yes our offense was horrible and our shiny, new OC turned into Garrett 2.0 but our D has some issues considering they have the "best LB's" and "strong DB's" plus DLaw. Our D was all over Teddy in the first half so they came out and ran the ball all over us and we couldn't get our O back on the field.

You consider having our LBs and DBs consistently line 8 - 10 yards from the line of scrimmage against the pass a "productive" night? Our D constantly gave up 1st downs at will to the Saints.

Never has 266 yards and 0 Tds been more criticized.

Lol.

Take all of this years games and the Rams game from last year. There's a pattern. That's what I discuss. You guys want to talk about highlights from SportCenter, go ahead.

I promise no one cares what you've been saying for a few weeks and that isn't the topic.

Okay so I'll start with first downs:
The average amount of 1st downs allowed per game- 20.3

We only gave up 18 first downs last night
117 is also the league average in rushing yards allowed, despite the Saints having a top 2 RB and a top 5 Oline, so that hurts your argument, not helps.

Yes they beat us in TOP, some of that was on the defense some on the offense but mostly due to our three turnovers

Not much else to say really

I must have been watching a different game because our D could not get off the field between the 20s. The last drive the D stopped them but left no timeouts for our offense. This bend but dont break is fine if our offense is clicking, but the D is going to have to get some 3 and outs here soon.

I guess.

The DE's kept losing containment. The RPO was open all night.

Saints pretty much owned the A Gap all night.

This game reminded me of the Rams game. The Saints were able to won the clock and basically kept our offense off the field.

It was a result the offense not sustaining drives and scoring. The defense would have been better if they would have had support from the offense.

Kinda like with Prescott and Zeke

If this game reminded you of the Rams game then your input on the matter might be better served not being said.

I would be okay trading away a high end pick for a stud Defensive Tackle who is known as being a run stopper this season. I really think we need one going forward. That said our offense 100% lost us the game last night. Fumbles, dropped passes and missed throws were the reason we aren't 4-0. It has nothing to do with our defense. There was someone on this board who said Smith was just as good as Gallup and we wouldn't miss a beat. I told him then and I'll say it now. Whoever it was is sooooo wrong it's scary. Gallup was becoming arguably the best wide receiver on this team. We need him back fast and last night really showed.

The average points scored per game in the NFL right now is 22.3

At face value, just based off of that stat line alone..the defense held and did their job admirably while the offense fell flat on their face

Couple that, with a 23 minute TOP and a 36% conversion rate on 3rd downs..the Offense just wasn't helping out. They went 3 and out 3 times, totalling for a whopping 4 and a half minutes combined..with another two drives that stalled out after 6 plays.

The defense was giving opportunity to the offense that couldn't capitalize.

It’s more like 5-6 yards but they even do it when the other team is on the 1 yard line. They also look frozen at the snap or immediately retreat into their zone which is 8-10 yards deep. They rarely attack the LOS at the snap. It’s maddening to watch and it’s why teams get an automatic 6-8 yards if they can break through the porous DL or take the checkdowns.

You hit it on the head. We could not get off the field and playing Arod next will kill us. If you remember in the playoff games we lost to the Pack especially in 2016, we just could not get a stop on 3rd down. We could not passrush them. I really hope Adams doesnt play against us or we are dead in the water.
I would blitz the hell out of Arod. I would rather give up a big play than get nickel and dimed all the way down the field.
