Unless you got this stat from 'USA Today' I don't think it's legit.

Let's keep in mind he hasn't been under much pressure, just 3 sacks, i think. He probably took at least 3 in all 4 games to start 2018 ... small sample sizes

The Dak haters are not the ones that fills this entire board with countless Dak threads that contains one useless stat after another. The Dak lovers are so insecure that they need to find any little positives that they can. I am at the point where I don’t even want to see another Dak thread, even if the threads does provide me with endless entertainment.

too bad you have to watch another 10-15 years of good ole Dak lol haaaa haaaaa

The first post is misleading. He's accurate because he's dumping off passes but that doesn't equate to a good QBR.

So Tom Brady doesn't always dump off passes? you have another 10-15years of Dak... enjoy it :)

I agree in principle. As much as most want to pin this on Dak to justify or degrade his worth, we could critize the entire team. Kellen Moore’s play calls were horrendous, exp in the run game where Zeke ran up the middle the entire game. It was very uncharacteristic compared to the previous three games. Yeah, the defense held on, but Quinn seemed to be the only bright spot. We’re still not getting turnovers. The OL, comprised with nagging injuries, were exposed. The WR’s have looked lost without Gallup.

All that said.. if people will look at the game objectively.. Even though the game plan looked vanilla and Dallas played poorly, Dallas had plenty of opportunities to Win a game they lost by a measly 2 points:
  • Yes, Dak could have hit Cobb in the back of the endzone while throwing across his body on the run.. but he didn’t. That’s on Dak.
  • Dallas was driving past mid field when Witten uncharacteristically fumbled the ball. Had he held on.. a field goal or possible a TD seemed inevitable
  • Dallas rolled the dice on a 4th and 1.. Zeke got the first down, then “fumbled”.. which we all know wasn’t a fumble. Replay proves it.. do we score on that drive also?
  • And let’s not forget Dak was driving down the field on the last possession to put our kicker in position for a FG, but we ran out of time. The ten second run off due to the Tyron Smith injury and the mysterious ‘2 sec pass’ for the Saints to score was all “home field advantage”.
My point, everyone wants to pin the Saints game on Dak.. cool. The real story.. the entire team was responsible for that loss. As poorly as the team played, we could have easily won that game.
.....
...I can't help but agree...it was a typical team failure...including the coaching staff...I can only hope tomorrow's game turns it back around to winning :star:

I imagine them in a studio apartment, with only a dirty couch, several cartons of cigarettes, red lipstick, and at least 500 pictures of Dak Prescott with his face mutilated tacked to all over the walls

Ah....I long for the days with dirty couches, cigarettes, beer can pyramids, empty tequila bottles, and forgotten lipsticks laying around from the night before. I was 22 and had roommates, but damn, we had some serious fun.

I had Roger, face intact, on the wall.

Cowherd sounding like a tool again.

Healthy elite defenses make life hard for every offense and all offensive players. That’s what makes them elite defenses.

They’re not an elite or very good defense if they’re getting smoked on a regular basis by opposing offenses.

Dak has also had good games against really good defenses. So, the argument doesn’t carry much weight from that angle either.

Lastly, anytime the Cowboys gameplan is almost never, let’s have the QB drop back over and over and throw for 400 yards. We are a run first offense. By design. And the cowboys were a run first offense BEFORE Dak was even on the team.

Right? Not to mention he changes his story every other week. If Dak balls out against Green Bay, Colin will have a clip about how fans need to stop doubting him, how he should get paid, and yadda yadda yadda. I like Colin, I do, but he sure flip-flops a lot these days.

It was actually 2.9 seconds but would have still left 1 second on the clock starting from 4.0 seconds. It was simply a case of broadcasters influencing fans who wanted to believe something was amiss.

Good to know but I still think a heavy dose of Zeke and the freak Pollard carrying the ball is the way to go. The Packers run defense is terrible.

Here's hoping Michael Gallup is able to get enough action to threaten GB's defense enough to allow our other receivers to thrive. Relying solely upon Cooper is a good way to get in trouble if he's being double covered. Spreading the ball around to keep their defense off balance wouldn't be a bad idea. Throwing on 1st down more than we did last week wouldn't hurt, either. Pollard is capable of being a weapon -- let's not ignore him this week.

Dude,

We are on a cowboys website. A site devoted to our team. Dak plays the most important position on our team. Of course people are going to post positive news about him that gives fans(close to 100%-about 98) more reassurance that we have a very good talent at the position.

Especially after the negative narrative that was going on in the press, somewhat, and clearly on this board members are going to post positive news to the contrary and celebrate the continuation of his great play from the second half of last year which is more like the majority of his career.

There was plenty of negativity and some reason to worry. Dak turned it around and posters pointed out facts and stats to back that up. Yet, some just don’t want to face it.

Whether it’s because they said so many things that turned out to be wrong and don’t want to face it or, like you, “have their own reasons” (that you can’t mention, but we’re all free to look up) the fact is there is some “hating” going on and many don’t like it and this is the natural backlash.

I totally agree! But the Packers have an over all very good defense. The Eagles beat em running and the Vikings gashed em on the ground but couldnt beat them.
Teams sell out heavy to stop Zeke and if they do that can Dak beat their CBs because they can play man to man tight coverage.

They're looking for Zeke to bail us out again. If they STOP Zeke we lose bet on it......

Maybe if he wasnt so inaccurate he wouldn't be under as much pressure

Am I doing it right?
It get your sarcasm and appreciate the improvement from Dak, but getting the ball out quicker always helps relieve pressure. His quick reads are improving, but still needs some work.

Hope to see Pollard today. He is the quicker back right now.

I have seen Dak escape pressure and throw some killer passes as well. You can look at Dak's tendencies as a quarterback under quality defensive pressure but we also need to look at our Oline, particularly more the middle than the ends.
