Schedule after Jets is difficult

Give me 10 wins right now and I’ll take it because it’s going to be a struggle to win 10 games with the remaining schedule and the team we currently have. We’re going have to get a lot better or we’re going to end up like the 08 team that started 3-0 and missed the playoffs.

10 wins I think is the high mark.

It’s the mark we’re going to have to reach if we want a decent chance of making the playoffs. Losing tiebreakers to New Orleans and Green Bay means we’re going to probably have to win the division to make the playoffs.

Eagles are getting better and we are getting worse it seems.

Who is better the Jets or the Phins? If you say the Jets, then you should worry about this weeks game against NY. Anyone remember the beginning of the Dolphins game? Slow start. That has to stop.

They’ve won two straight and we’ve lost two straight so they’re moving up and we’re moving down. We’ve yet to prove we can beat a contending team and they have.

I’m thinking we go either 9-7 or 10-6. That one game will likely decide our playoff fate.

“Since taking over as a starter in 2016, Prescott has a 36-20 record. He's never had a losing season and has led the Cowboys to two playoff appearances and one playoff win. All good, right?

Dig deeper in those numbers, however, and there is a disturbing trend. In his career as a starter against teams with a winning record, Prescott is 10-14 (that could change depending on the Packers and Saints record at the end of the season). He went 5-3 in 2016 against winning teams, but since then he's only 5-11.

In his first three games, he completed 74.7 percent of his passes for 920 yards and 9 TDs against 2 INTs. In his two losses, he's completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 686 yards and 2 TDs against 4 INTs. The contrast couldn't be more obvious. “

How do you feel about those last two games played on the field?
It was reasonable to think the Cowboys would lose each one. But consider, the Raiders just beat the Bears (who lost their QB), Lions look beatable, Vikings look beatable, Bills look beatable....

If the Cowboys play their game they can play with anyone in this league.

This Jets game is going to be very difficult, Gregg Williams is going to bring pressure constantly. If Dallas has a lead early it will be manageable but if they fall behind early via a turnover, a big run from bell or a bad special teams play then williams is going to come after Dak every down. He will get him a bunch too.

Before the season I thought this was a good team, not a great one by any stretch and to be fair there are really only two great teams in this league right KC & NE. Everyone else is week to week based on injury concerns and matchups. Anyway before the season started I thought they could go 10-6 and win the division or be a wild card if this happened.

Go 4-2 in the division.
3-1 vs the AFC East.
Beat Detroit.

That's 8 wins requiring two wins out of the remaining games versus:
New Orleans, Green Bay, Minnesota, Chicago, Rams

I still think this is the path to the playoffs but I think the road got harder, Buffalo plays outstanding defense and has a wild card at QB.
The bears, rams, vikings have defenses that could keep this teams offense to 14 points or less (NE and Buffalo too). Detroit is good and a bad matchup for this current Dallas team I think especially with the game in detroit where Dallas has had odd endings previously, that last time in 2013 Tyron Smith got called for a hold on the game winning run...they lost after kicking a field goal to go up 6.

I really think this Jets game is huge. They have to get a lead early and then run the ball or gregg williams is going to get them. If they lose this jets game they could be staring right at 8-8.

THE JETS will give us a helluva ball game..we tend to get each teams best game. Trust me, I can say this with absolute conviction...if we lose that game, Garrett will be fired on the spot and will not be on the team plane.

THE CRAPPY DOLPHINS should have had the lead on us!!! Garrett should have been fired along with Granny Marinelli. We allowed a very bad team run the rock all over us. The offense is why we won the game. NOT THE D. The 2nd half of the GB game, the offense made adjustments and played much better. THE D just never had an answer for Jones. THAT IS SCHEME. WE GOT OUT SCHEMED.

Honestly?
I'm worried about the Jets, between licking our wounds from last week and looking past them, this could get stupid. Especially if we lay an egg in the first quarter.

But that never happens under Garrett, we always show up ready to play with our ________.

Take a look at this:

Eagles, Vikings, Lions, Patriots, Bills, Bears, Rams and Eagles among the next nine opponents. Those teams have a combined 20-10-1 record.

Recalibrating after 5 weeks it now looks rather glim. Rams and Pats you can almost book as a loss. Eagles we at least lose one. Probably split the rest if we are lucky.

Looking like a 8-8 type season more every week that passes. I would have found that hard to believe in training camp.

The issues with Smith and Collins certainly dont help.

Will this really be the last season of Garrett? Personally I find it very hard to believe he will ever be fired.
I don't know why I'm going to torture myself but, oh well,

We should beat the Jets to get us to 4-2.
We'll likely split with the Eagles as we generally do. That's 5 wins.
The Lions are beatable even though they look like they've improved. That's 6.
The Bills don't have that great an offense even if they have a good defense. That's 7.
We've still got to play the Skins and Giants, which should be wins 8 and 9.
We'd have to steal one from the Vikings, Patriots, Rams and Bears.
We're NOT beating the Patriots in Foxboro. Great coach and Great quarterback our kryptonite. Just pencil this in as a loss.
The Bears don't have an offense, but their defense is great. Dak hasn't seen pressure like the pressure the Bears bring. Loss.
We could steal one from the Vikings because of Kirk Cousins. But Aaron Jones gashed us and Davin Cook is better than Jones. Loss.
The Rams don't have a healthy Gurley. I don't think they're the same team as last year. Win.
We get to 10-6, but I don't know if that will do it. I think the Eagles will take the division. That means the Cowboys will be vying for a wildcard spot with the Packers, Bears and Vikings (whichever one doesn't win the division), the Panthers (who seem to be coming on strong) and the Seahawks, 49ers (who I expect to fade down the stretch) and the Rams (whichever doesn't win the division). We may lose many head-to-head tiebreakers.

But let see how it plays out.

I'm WORRIED ABOUT every team we play because its a copycat league. Rams showed everyone last year how to scheme us. Until we adjust, it wont get any better...each week will be a dog fight.

This Jets game is the definition of a trap game. Going to their house thinking it will be easy and already focused on Philthy.

I don’t think Dallas will lose but a lot of bettors sure will.......

we are not sniffing the playoffs this year. Too many better teams in the NFC. Cardinals are better than we are. THE NFC WEST IS DYNAMIC AND DEEP.
