Would Romo have us at 5-0?

Romo got old by the time he got it built. Dak would have lasted a year in the league if he started where romo started. We got the training wheels on the current offense cause the qb is holding everybody else back.

Time to draft a legit qb

That’s a new Romo excuse I’ve never heard. By the time he built up the team he was too old, eh? Hmmmm, you learn something new every day on the zone.
One thing that isn’t new, more creative ways to propel Romo’s career into HOF status. Reality hurts though as Danny White is still the 3rd best QB to ever play in Dallas....

How many times in Romo's career did he have a 5-0 start? Once and that's it. How many times did Romo have 11 straight wins? None but Dak does.

These are stupid threads talking about what Romo would have done or could have done. He failed, often. In the playoffs, in week 17 games when he needed a win to make the plays he came up empty. Let it go, Romo isn't a Hall of Fame QB and it isn't coming back. His time is gone
How many times did Romo go 12 1/2 quarters without scoring a TD? None, but Dak did. Romo never broke a record for mediocrity.

I think a better question is would Sammy Baugh have us at 5-0. How about Don Meredith?

What's false? Dak went 12 1/2 quarters without throwing a TD in 2017. Romo never did that. Dak literally broke the record for mediocrity, since no other QB in Cowboys history did it either. He did have 5 int's, a fumble, a pick six and 14 sacks in that span as well. Are you going to claim that's false too?

The 5 INTs and fumble were what I was thinking with regard to mediocrity. But hey, I guess it could get worse.

Some act like it's guaranteed that Romo wouldn't have thrown the INTs that Dak did against GB last Sunday. When Romo has had games like his 4 or 5 INT game against the Bills. Which in a way is worse than Dak's game against the Packers, because the Bills weren't even good that season. And also let's not forget about the Lions game where the Cowboys were winning by double digits and Romo threw INTs, including a pick six that allowed Detroit to come back and when that game.

But, some choose to have revisionist history about Romo while they are hating on Dak.

Haha you think 191 yards and 2 TDs are better than what Dak has done in the playoffs....... Stop it, you are starting to look silly.

Giggling and projecting doesn't make for a convincing argument.

143.6 QB rating against the Packers. And that's not counting The UnCatch. 114 the week before with Detroit. Both are better than Dak's best of 103.2 in 2016 .

Training wheels? What training wheels? You do realize that Dak is top 5 in all passing stats across the board this season. Dak is a million times more durable than Romo was

Romo did break things you're right. His collarbone, his back, his ribs, his hand......

As much as Romo was the King at big numbers his Achilles Heel was turnovers and injuries. He was cerebral and had a Great arm and accuracy but he seemed like he had to do way too much. I remember great plays only to be called back by penalties. and My God, doesnt anyone remember how many false starts that line would have? He was asked to do too much too many times. Ive always said, give Romo, Aikmans offensive line, and he would have set NFL records

as for Dak, I believe through his best efforts and hard work he has reached his ultimate ceiling. Average
