Yea they have not been very good at all, what gets to me is all we heard in the off season is how much better this D will be, not even close

I think they have quit on Richard...he seems to get in everyones face and alienate everyone....and the players know...his scheme is poop. Hence why they are not going all out...forcing a change to be made.

Grade them- good, average or bad

tank- average
Quinn- average
Collins- bad
Woods- incomplete
LVE- bad
Jaylon- bad
Chido- average
Woods- average
Heath- woods
Jones- average
Brown- bad

Covington is the dline's leading tackler and has played about 60% of snaps. Only Lawrence 61 and Collins 73 have played more.

Whoever brought him to the team should get an A for saving our bacon.

Coming into the season I really thought our starting 3 LBs would be probably the best in the league and maybe one of the best groups historically. Really wrong there.
They’ve certainly fooled us all...

Average players do not routinely see double and triple teams.

And if you think 3 sacks in three games is average, I'd suggest that you have no idea what the term "average" means.

I have this impression that you’re not calling woods average or bad because you are biased for him. He’s in his third year, he’s not incomplete anymore, this is what he is.

I think you are confusing the Woods.

The Woods he is talking about is the DT who has been injured.

Stick to assessments of the Eagles players.

It's crazy they're as high as last year. They're not half as good this year so far lol. Apparently a lot of defenses must have declined from last year.
Through 5 games:

2018 - 1687 total yards, 1208 passing, 479 rushing, 19.2 ppg allowed, 4 turnovers, 15 sacks. Our offense scored only 16 ppg in the first 5
2019 - 1609 total yards, 1102 passing, 507 rushing, 18 ppg allowed, 4 turnovers, 12 sacks. Offense is scoring 26.2 ppg in the first 5

Very little difference in where we are today vs at this point last year on the defensive side of the ball.

A = Great ; B = Good ; C = Passable ; D = Average/Replaceable ; F = Cut ASAP

Tank - C
Quinn - B
Collins - B
Woods - C
LVE - C
Jaylon - C
Lee - B
Chido - B
Woods - B
Heath - F
Jones - A
Brown - C

The Secondary has been pretty good(Except Heath), the packers didn’t have a WR or TE go over 50yards, Jimmy Graham only had 41. Below him the next highest is 21yards.

Even in the Saints game M.Thomas has 95yards but that was mostly Scheme related or backShoulder amazing pass(Impossible to defend). Everyone else 30yards or below.

Jones, gets an "A"????? For what, please tell me!

Apart from Quinn they all suck something fierce. Terrible play on the defensive line.
Quinn is first on the team in sacks and second in qb hits in just two weeks of action. DLaw has also made his presence known with 2.5 sacks and a team leading 6 qb hits. The duo should only get better as time goes on.

Garbage. They’ve beaten no one and can’t stop the run.

Soft and over rated
They have beaten 3 teams from what I can see. The "Team" is 3-2. It is a team sport the last time I looked.

Since the Packers game everyone has been down on them. I am not saying there isn't good reason to be down on the D but everyone else including the Saints were held to a fairly low scoring game. Then the pack gashed them for 34.

These guys don't quit even when they are down. jmho

I still have faith. 11 games left to play.
