That one freaking job is something only about 15-20 people on the planet can do consistently in NFL conditions. It's a bit more complicated than you say.

Kicking in an enclosed stadium is not complicated for men that are paid millions to do so. A football is shaped odd, but kickers still work with a finite set of circumstances. Snap is good, the hold is perfect, no penetration, KICK a 38 yard field goal either from the right hash or left.

I’m old enough to remember Clint Murchison, the Cowboys original owner, who spoiled us as fans by letting the football men he hired- who later all became HOFers- GM Schramm, HC Tom Landry and Talent Scout Gil Brandt, actually run the football side of things.

That’s the team that made Dallas “America’s Team” and the real people who “spoiled” Cowboys fans with consistent success we haven’t seen around here since the 90s.

Its kind of funny when I read “spoiled” in this context given the many variables involved to bring us this so-so product we’ve come to know and love.

Funnier still that this response comes after they opted against taking a look at the position this past spring, allowing Maher to enter the regular season unchallenged.

I’ve seen this approach described as lazy. I would add sloppy to the list of descriptors. For me, it’s these things within their sphere of control that leave you scratching your head.

Same here brother!! He is built like a linebacker but has a great leg. I would love for us to pick him up. I wish Dallas at this point would bring in Dan Bailey, i mean what the hell It can't get any worse then what we already have. Maher just flat out sucks.
