Nobody can blame Dak today

Dak might need contacts or simply put on some glasses. His reads are becoming very questionable. I can't believe he didn't recognize the blitz on the 2pt conversion.....he is the 4yr starter.
What could he have done, when there was no protection all game?

I thought Dak played very well. He probably absorbed 4 or 5 vicious hits that other QBs get injured on, and whose teams are awarded PF penalty yardage.

I thought losing Cooper was big, but the subs didnt play badly. Gallup could have done better tonight.

If you guys go back and watch Dak in college you will see what you see now.
When he wasn't under pressure, he played pretty good- albeit struggling with accuracy issues at times.
But when he was pressured he struggled a lot.
They used to line him up deep in the shotgun so he would have ave more time, and then he would often run instead of pass.
He's still that guy, but has improved some.
Garrett was so desperate to believe he'd finally found a way to win that he failed to teach Dak. He protected him and didn't play him in preseason unless the full offensive line was in the game.
Now Dak still lacks that training.

He didn't make any major mistakes, and his completion percentage goes way up when you consider that he had at least 6 passes dropped. We had a lot of problems today but Dak wasn't one.

let's get this straight. he is a problem. his accuracy is a huge issue. instead of hitting receivers in stride he hits them high, low and behind our receivers constantly. his slow starts are killing us. The main reason they got back into the game was Zeke. Dak has been the bad version of Dak more than half this season. he isnt a 30 million dollar QB. with that being said, he isnt the only issue.

It wasn't a good throw because Dak wasn't able to step into it. Most good QBs have a strong enough arm to make that throw but as we've seen in the past when Daks mechanics aren't good his arm is very questionable.
Dak didn’t have a strong enough arm to hit Witten with a better throw...... from 5 yards away???

You’ve never touched a football in your life, have you?

So let me get this straight. Half the Dak crowd around here are claiming he was under pressure the entire game and the other half are saying he completed 70% of his passes!! Those two things go together though...lol. I want to know how it is that against a 0-4 team this vaunted offense only had 9 points midway thru the 3rd quarter and 3 came on a miracle 62 yard FG or last week when with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter we had only scored 3 points against GB or the week before against the Saints when we scored 10 for the game. Not everything is on Dak but if you are the guy who touches the ball on every offensive play and are suppose to be the team leader than most of the blame has to fall on your shoulders

Hard to make plays when you have pressure in your face every snap and 2/3 of your WRs are out. And his Witten TD was wiped out by a bogus penalty.

Dak did what he could and he gave us a shot. Look around the league. Good/great QBs and good/great offenses can struggle to score when things aren’t smooth around them. It happens.
Part of Dak's job is to see the blitz and audible for adequate protection.
He should have called either Zeke or a receiver in to block.

Austin and Wilson actually did really well for #5 and #6 WRs. Gallup though... 3 drops and a 15 yard penalty. Sheesh.

Bottom line he cant win when it counts. We hear nothing but excuses! Top 10 QBs find ways to win! Dak is 4 years in stop with the excuses! JJ gave him receivers, rbs and a line! He needs to stop making excuses and you guys need to stop making excuses for him. He can't win when it counts! Thank Goodness JJ didnt pay him or we would waiting another 10 years!

Nobody is going to be superb in that setting. He was essentially playing with the second team offense by game’s end.
Please.

He played ok. He had a lot of off passes. Just like he has for the last threes weeks.

But...

He is one tough nut. He took a beating today. I can’t imagine how sore he’ll be tomorrow.

The defense of Sak is so blind to his obvious shortcomings, I’m starting to think it has to do with something besides his playing ability.

He was average, which is true to his talent level.

No one thinks he sucks. No sane person thinks he's a Super Bowl caliber QB either though.

Missing both starting tackles, 2/3 starting receivers and while getting hit nearly every time he dropped back he threw for nearly 300 yards and carried his team nearly all the way back from 3 TDs down.

The OL and defense really wet the bed today

I feel like he needs to take off an run a little more.

If you think Dak should get paid $30 million a year, that means that you think Dak is a true franchise QB, (of which there aren't many). If you're going to pay him that, he has to be able to hit big passes and carry the team when things aren't going right... Dak isn't that guy, he's not a franchise QB.
