Unless he and our D find some magic over the next 6-8 weeks it is only going to get worse as our schedule gets tougher
Worse than losing to a team that had lost 13 of 14....losing to a credible team at least is explainable. Losing to one of the worst teams in the nfl is not. This team has no passion and is terrible from top to bottom.

Wow...you have elevated Romo to god like status. Must be why he won 2 career playoff games.

And the stats say he out played Darnold.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr/_/type/player-week

Try again.
You and your stats. So adorable.

But I'll play along

QB rating
Dak 89.3
Darnold 113.8

Doesn't Dak have 2 TDs and 4 ints the past three games? Doh!

Dak is a b-u-s d-r-v-i-v-e-r.

The other comprehensive QB stat had Darnold at 113.8 and Dak at 89.3 i wonder which one is more accurate of the outcome of the game
I wonder what the numbers would say if that bogus pick play isnt called?

QBR without question is better than passer rating when evaluating QB performace. That's shouldn't even be a discussion.

I use to think that too until a saw how many times the stat was higher for the losing QB, not a once in awhile thing happens alot. Anybody really think Dak outplayed Darnold yesterday?

It's actually a perfectly legitimate argument.

The NFL is like a tennis match between quarterbacks. Quarterbacks have to hold serve against guys like Rodgers. You remember the Romo-Peyton classic? The Chiefs-Rams game last year with Mahomes and Goff? Romo spent most of his entire career trying to win shoot-outs with his horrible offensive lines and historically terrible defenses. Most of the time, he kept up just fine.

The NFL heavily favors the offense. If you're a good quarterback, you should be really hard to stop. The rules are designed to make sure you are.

I'm certainly not blaming everything on Dak, but that's not the point. The NFL game is all about the quarterback. Elite ones keep you in games when things are awry. They have the ball in their hand and make the real-time decisions. They have to will it. That's why they get paid like they do.
they dont play each other..sorry its not like tennis.. its an old term used by FANS, nothing more then fodder for debates. sure its fun to see game like that but its the defense that has the last laugh and in Denver that day our olinemen got pushed back into Tony during his follow through and caused the INT.their D beat our O that day for the play that mattered..

the only way to evaluate a qb dual is to have both play on the same team and with the same players and situations.. you know the old QB Controversy gets stirred up... each QB plays against a Defense, our D didnt hold up and theirs did, its not Darnold vs Dak its Darnold vs our D.. = Fail in the first half.. its their D against our Offense total FAIL in first half...

we need to Start off much quicker and play well in the first half or this will eb long season..the entire TEAM..

I don’t think Dak is the main problem.

I do think Dak is a bit of a slow starter and it’s killing us.

If he played 4 quarters like he does the second half. We would be fine.
Not with this defense........and they also start slow.

If you blame him you have this Agenda, that they keep in their pocket and will play when the debate is being lost

Dak throwing the ball downfield is like a kid playing with Dynomite. You know it's only a matter a time before you here BOOM BAM interception, pick 6, etc etc. only luck has saved him so far.
Unless its the Giants then it might be a TD.....

Dak is #1 is QBR this year- his offenses' DVOA? #1
Wilson is #2- Offense #3
Mahomes #3- Offense #2
Watson #4- Offense #13
Wentz #5- Offense #6

All five teams mentioned are also top 10 in points and yards(except for Philly with yards). I'm not a total points or yardage backer, but some prefer it because they don't know DVOA.

With elite quarterbacks, it doesn't matter what defense it is. They most always figure it out and win the game, or at least put up the points to do so.

These were the hapless 0-5 Jets, who didn't even play that well.

Dak has put up 10, 3, and 20 points the past three weeks during non-garbage time. Put Darnold on this team, and those numbers would be MUCH higher.

Missing both starting tackles, 2/3 starting receivers and while getting hit nearly every time he dropped back he threw for nearly 300 yards and carried his team nearly all the way back from 3 TDs down.

The OL and defense really wet the bed today
I don't think Dak get's off without at least some share of the blame - he is still throwing just a tick behind receivers a little too often, and there are other things he could have done better. But he also took a beating behind an O-Line that did a really poor job of protecting him, and there were a few drops by the receivers.

When the Oline and the defense play well and we win, Dak gets every single ounce of credit from most

We lost yesterday. He is not exempt from blame, by any stretch

Can't have it both ways
