Just in case any of you are still holding out hope that Stephen is soooooo much wiser than Jerry.

Honestly its just lip service. The Cowboys are still fighting for a playoff spot and it would be poor judgment to put the focus away from anything but that right now. Once we're out of playoff contention all bets will be off. They may be saying one thing right now but not extending him was a clear message on what the expectations were for this season.

One thing to note is that this year Garrett is all about pointing out execution instead of preparation, trying to save his job and blame the players who no doubt are part of the issue but the lack of motivation to me is the biggest problem and considering Garrett's only thing he is supposed to be good at is being a motivator is telling.

Im not one to support Garrett at this point but there is a big difference between the Wade situation and this one. They had a coach in waiting then.If they fired Garrett before seasons end who takes his place? i dont see not one person on this staff that deserves to be elevated to interim head coach. You gonna pull someone out of retirement?

I think its time for some fans to wise up.

Some have wised up and accepted what is and what will be. If one is to remain a Cowboys fan, the Joneses are the necessary evil that comes with the territory.

I have an excuse, I was a fan before he bought the team so I was a carry over but these fans that have signed on since 1996 mystify me. I think they are actually the people that sit by the drunk Uncle at Thanksgiving on purpose.

People really need to let the Garrett Watch go and be satisfied that he is almost certainly gone at the end of the year. The team is struggling but in this division and with a few tomato cans left on the schedule, the disaster needed for an in-season firing isn’t going to happen. Heck, they’ll probably win next Sunday night.
