Funny that you think this team is making it to the playoffs. This team has given up, believe it or not.

I hope they have.

The best thing going forward would be to remove this coach and get a high enough draft pick that we can at least have a debate about drafting a QB with more potential upside on a cheap contract.

Maybe even trade Dak for a 2nd rounder?

I actually like Dak but not at 30+ million. Against good teams he's just not that great unless there is a threat of a run game and he can get favorable matchups. If we need him to air it out we turn into a circus real quick and you just don't know what you're going to get.

Good luck finding another puppet who can co exist influencing Jerry helping build one of the better cultures we’ve seen this generation.

The first sign of some troubled waters and we’re ready to abort. I’m beginning to want Jason to find success elsewhere but I’m still selfish and can’t imagine anyone we’d want willing to take on this mess.
Where have you been? The first sign of trouble was in 2013 with three back to back 8-8 seasons. There have been frequent signs even before and after that but some of us only realized we are not going anywhere with him back in 2013. I am with you, he will find success elsewhere, maybe in a Pee Wee league.

You're funny. You know that? When people were supporting Garrett, you were bashing him. When people bash him, you support him. You're contrary by nature.

Yeah, we know Garrett is a puppet and things aren't likely to change while Jerry is alive....because the root cause will always be there. Jerry is the problem. However, that doesn't mean that Garrett is a good coach. A GOOD coach will stand up to Jerry regardless of the consequences. A GOOD coach would make on-field adjustments when things aren't working. Garrett refuses to do that. He keeps with the same modus operandi no matter the cost. "Beat your man" is not viable in today's NFL. It's antiquated. It certainly helps, but scheming is needed because not everyone is going to be a pro bowl caliber player that plays mistake free every game. It was only viable pre-salary cap.

You see the O-line struggling, but you don't adjust the TE's to help with blocking.... there's a problem....and it's been a problem for a long time....Garrett's philosophy.

Yes, he's hamstrung in ways by Jerry. But the things he COULD be doing he isn't doing. The players ignoring him as they walked by him was telling. He's losing this team. It's time.

It seems to me- at least to my eyes watching the Cowboys-Jets debacle on TV last Sunday- that Jason Garrett is losing or has lost the respect of his players. Unless you have had consistent success, most coaches have an expiration date in the locker room. And it usually takes less than 9 years.

And there’s a simple explanation why: After nearly 9 years as head coach, it’s discouraging to these players to continue to work for a guy that’s not inspiring, not getting better, and essentially has very little power. They already know it isn’t going to happen with Garrett. Even shorter answer: It’s discouraging to play for a guy who’s simply this powerless and passionless.

When I saw the comments made by eaglets HC Doug Pederson essentially guaranteeing a victory Sunday night in Dallas and compared that to Garrett’s weak response, (“I hope we win”) it’s no secret why Garrett may be losing this locker room. I would rather play for a HC who takes public risks and shows confidence in his players than to hear some milk-toast drivel about “having a good day” as a part of “the process”.

When you haven’t won much for two decades plus, having a HC who keeps doing the same things and expecting different results, it has to be mind-numbing for these players.

The only way Garrett could somehow regain the respect of these players who are risking their long term health every week, would be to start acting like he’s something he’s not. A great leader.

Jerry Is closer to 80 than 70. How many seasons is he going to throw away on a guy who doesn’t have what it takes to win?

At the end of the day, this is probably a driving factor behind Jones keeping Garrett. Probably doesnt want to start over. OR at least he thinks it would be.

I think that you're asking the wrong question. Jerry feels the opposite - he's too old to start over with a new coach. But he's wrong about that - new coaches can have immediate success, as we've seen with the Rams, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc.

Next puppet up. Good luck !

And Jerry won’t allow a HC who stands up to him. Sounds like another fan who either doesn’t grasp or accept the gravity of Jerry.

Dude, I'm fully aware of the problem of Jerry. I've been saying it as long as you have. But puppet or not, if a coach won't change what he CAN change, he needs to go. There are things that Garrett can do in games that he doesn't. It's that simple and has nothing to do with Jerry. You also fail to read...since I clearly stated in my previous post that the root problem is Jerry and will remain Jerry...but go ahead and make your claim.

And what QB would we get in return? We're getting beat in the tank race by Miami, the Bengals, and a couple other bottom feeding teams. Dak has been fine so far and honestly, we aren't that good at drafting so I highly doubt whoever we get to replace him would be better than what we have in Dak. QB's aren't a dime a dozen nowadays. Very hard to find a competent QB. No guarantees how a player from college will look in the NFL. We need to trade someone like Byron Jones. He's not great but he has some value.

This season . We were SB bound a few weeks ago. Lol

A bad loss on the road and everyone ready to abort. I’d rather see how it finishes out.

You’ll get to see how it finishes out. But the first sign of trouble should’ve been when Garrett inherited the most prolific passer in team history and a generationally gifted pass rusher and could do nothing with them.

3 straight loses, including one the road against the 0-4 Jets powered by a fresh from Mono QB, a bad HC (still miles better than Garrett), and group of no name WR's, and everyone ready to abort. I’d like see this team just tank.

There, fixed it for you .

It’s tough finding puppets who kiss butt as well as Jason has. It takes time to culminate the relationship and trust they have together. Not many can coexist in this dysfunctional organization like Jason has.

Plus Jerry really doesn’t want a HC who’d receive more credit. Nothing would be worse than to prove Jerry wrong with a new HC coming in immediately turning it around to win a championship. Jerry would probably have to fire him. Lol

odd those teams are all .500 or worse this year...

CHI already thinking new QB, Rams making more ridiculous trades trying to recover and that Mcvay O has looked bad but last week all time low, and no Foles to Save philly this year..

No point , just pointing out was the change sustainable? yes philly got a SB and Rams lucked their way to an appearance with the Refs help but...overall w-l records over 9-10 season for all 3? will it be that much better then what weve done the last 5 years?

Truly, that is Garretts skill. Kissing *** and faking it with Jones.

No ones done it better. He’s set Jerry up to take more of the credit if we ever have success.

A guy that shoudnt have been OC, should never had been a HC and has no business in the NFL has somehow convinced Jerry that he was the perfect guy for both. And through 13 up and down, mistake laden years of Garrett bumbling both jobs he has somehow remained here and is line for a brand new contract at 3-3 with 3 horrible losses in this new losing streak.

It really is unreal what he has done. I give the guy a lot of credit. One of the best fraudsters I have ever seen.
