A little regret on Taco cut?

I thought the Taco release was because Gregory was coming back. Now that the bye is here if we don't hear about Gregory back on the practice field I am going to be more bothered by it. I am also surprised at Armstrong. I thought he had something. He can't get it done vs. NFL Tackles.

I wish Dallas would move on from Gregory. He is a waste of time and can't be counted on. Really do you think if given yet another chance it will be different? I would hope so but being burned by him time after time there in no way I would bring him back. This is one issue I disagree with Jerry and the organization

How is Randy Gregory ahead of anyone? The guy has been a complete waste of time and a waste of a draft pick. What is done is done but it is not just who starts it is who can come into the rotation and help the team. Gregory can't help himself let alone the team.

I meant last year because he was the one stopping Taco from getting on the field for the most part.

No. He had a sack and 4 tackles. Besides that he was invisible the entire game. He leaves Dallas and he gets elevated to some monster DE.

Another game, another sack for MIA. Still think we cut bait too early because of a personality conflict with Rod. Need to lessen Rod’s influence on personnel.
no his attitude was bad, I like what I see with Armstrong and Hyders development. plus Quinn has been beast, we dont and wil not miss Taco..only regret is if somehow he ends up in the HOF..lol

they will be fine in replacing that soft veggy taco..

it wasn’t an either/or decision.

Quinn provides a spark to the defense and an intensity Taco never showed.

Pretty sure the consensus is that Dallas needs better DTs, it was an either/or situation imho, if they kept both Quinn and Taco, one less roster spot for a DT they need.

I have no problem with cutting Taco, nothing personal, but from what I've seen so far Dallas is much better off with Quinn, both on his actual play and his impact on the team psyche....

He wasn't trying in Dallas. He's trying now pry because he's mad we cut him. Were he in Dallas, he still wouldn't be trying and would be sulking behind Law and Quinn. When he gets paid and/or comfortable in his current location, he will probably stop trying again.

On the flip side, Robert Quinn is a registered loafer who quit trying in Miami but turned it on here. Sometimes these things happen.

1) I still can't believe 30 other teams offered nothing for Taco when the Cowboys were trying to trade him. Teams could have had him for a 7th round draft pick.

2) It could also be that Taco realized how bad he was viewed by the league when no team offered anything for a trade. Rejection can be a serious motivator.

3) I wish the Cowboys would have dumped Taco before final cuts so Jelks would have made the team. I think Jelks went to IR just to redshirt him. I doubt he was hurt enough for IR. I think Jelks will be better a better player than Taco come next year.

Stephen Jones did say he thought Taco would do well with a fresh start. They didn't cut him because they thought he couldn't play in the league.

he had his shot here.
I'll ride with #90 and #58.
#51 aint chump change either.
Getting cut may be the best thing that ever happened to him
Just maybe the reason he is playing better is it showed him he has to want it to get it

No room for him here.

I'm sure he could've gave us some solid production but with Gregory in front of him and now Quinn how the heck are you going to put him on the field?

Those 2 guys are just better then him.

Maybe you didn’t get the memo, but Gregory isn’t playing so he’s not even in the equation. He might never play again, and even if he does, you can NEVER count on him.

Again... I meant last season.
