Did Moore go to Jerry leading up to the Eagles?

Perhaps Moore, the offensive coordinator, consulted with his head coach, Garrett, and revised the offensive game plan they used in games four though six to what we witnessed Sunday night. It could have happened that way. You never know.
That is exactly what Switzer said coming in as the HC, that exact thing and I completely agree. The coaches are responsible for putting them into their best possible position to succeed through prep, game plan and play calling but not for motivating them.

It's always been a burr in my saddle, there are only 16 of these and they are getting paid extremely well and are on TV for all their family and friends to see as well at the game and they need a coach to motivate them? Most of that motivation is BS, like Brees and his pregame showoff. Or how Ray Lewis used to look like some Voodoo witch had a doll of him and a box full of pins.

What the hell was the HC doing in the locker room before they came out that they need some asinine chant on the sideline. These are supposed to be men, act like it. Bad enough they've got the little handshake and goofyass little rituals after making a play, what they're paid to do.

CC, I agree with you to a point. Yes, that's the old school mentality ... they're men and professionals and that should be enough but you know, it ain't. The team fell apart under Barry Switzer. Pissed Aikman off terribly that there was no discipline . The other side of the coin is Jimmy.

Master motivator and psychologist (with a degree in psychology). He constantly used differing angles to motivate the team and fear was one of his prime weapons. So these men, professionally skilled men, are also human and succumb to and are moved by human traits. External motivation is used by all ... including Belicheat.

Circumstances drove this game.

We got turnovers. Plain and simple.

The game plan was not any more dynamic than it appeared the last three weeks.

That game looked like the first 3. And please dont give me the whole Eagles are bad schtick. Leading up to that game we were going to get clobbered by Cox and co.

I noticed a lot more motion and deception. I honestly think Moore had enough and went to Jerry. Just my opinion but it looked like a different offense.

Hard to know who did what, but this was the kind of game plan that made sense for us and the personnel we signed this offseason.

This was not the Garrett offense we've seen for a decade. Let's hope they've finally committed to moving on.

I'm not a fan of Garrett, but what does he have to gain from sabotaging Moore? Moore's offense failing means Garrett likely is out of a job at season's end. It's in his best interest to see Moore succeed. Maybe having the offensive tackles back (and Philly's defense being not so good) enabled our offense to execute more effectively and be more creative? I like a good conspiracy as well as the next guy, but Garrett sinking Moore so he won't get upstaged or something, doesn't make any sense.

You could have just googled the words and have been better off for learning something. Antebellum Status quo.

To put it bluntly, I don't care enough about a conversation with a random person across the world to google a word that you already googled to make sure you used it right in a sentence. I already helped you sleep better tonight. Isn't that enough for you?

It looked like the 1st 3 games because we were facing a crappy defense like we did in the 1st 3 games! Scandrick was a starting corner....lol

Here's what he actually said. Not pathetic at all:

"I’m looking for reasons to keep him,” Jones said. “It’s merited here. It’s hard to get an effective coach and get it locked in with all you have to retool and redo. I’m comfortable. We have established some security apart from the won-loss. He represents the organization well on and off the field. You don’t have to wake up in the morning reading about it....Head coach, right there beside him the offensive coordinator, the play caller, they’re going to get a lot of shots from time to time because we all know it doesn’t go right at all [all the time] so get ready,” Jones said. “But I’ve seen him, and I’ve seen him handle it, but I’ve not seen a concern, and I’ve experienced it to where players, key players, have an issue with the coach. I haven’t seen that with Garrett.”
So when he said he is looking for reasons you take that as he has already found them or not yet?

There are reasons for that.

When you lead, you have more flexibility. When you are behind or in a close game, you might go more vanilla to ensure you aren't killing your D because of TOP issues.

To extend him again? I think we already knew Jerry’d have already extended Garrett again already if he thought he had enough reasons, didn’t we?

Garrett is getting extended regardless.

Just thought it was sad he is longing for reasons he can’t relay find.

It’s almost as if he is afraid of great coaches or powerful football men. They must make him feel small.
