You could also look at this as what Garrett likely needs to do to get his extension.......three words, healthy, playoff, advance.

Obviously the three losses hurt.....

more food for the fans sounds like maybe he is not happy with where they are as a team when he hires a competent coach maybe things will get better

The way the Cowboys played against the Saints, Jets and Packers suggests otherwise.

But the Eagles game ........I said in another thread, something happened with the D, lights came on, found their groove, whatever you wanna call it, but I'm guessing we're about the see a team we thought they would be.

Is it wrong or insensitive of me to fantasize about a day where I don't have to read Jerry Jones quotes anymore?

Oh come on. You’ll miss the

“We’re good but we aren’t good”
“We love our guys. But we will make a move if it’s right!”
“Our record isn’t great but we are”

lol

Jets? Absolutely...no excuses. We need to stay healthy though.

Packers? First half absolutely. Still had some bad luck in that one.

Saints? Annoying ugly game but Bridgewater did go undefeated. Horrible gameplay though.

I don’t necessarily think the Packers/Saints would beat us 6 out of 10 times. We are pretty evenly matched there..just need to stay healthy.

Yeah, keep the sales pitch up.
The Cowboys have been "potential" contenders every year since 2007, but refuse to hire a head coach.
But, wait till next year!

Think some are just tired of hearing Jerry talk coz there's not a lot in that tweet to disagree with. He admitted we haven't played to our potential but is saying the talent is there if we stay healthy. So I'm wondering what wrong with what he's saying...lol

Someone in the press memorialize this tweet.

And then if we miss the playoffs and he starts gabbing about how he might bring Garrett back, ask him about this tweet.
Well uhhhhhh the situation was always fluid and not set in stone uhhhhhh i feel we made some serious strides to get this thing on the right track uhhhh trust me nobody wabts to win as much as Jason

..he's not wrong. But he's not calculating, all the variables that will come to play. Which most depend on consistency, when there not, they're not to your advantage.

It's this kind of thinking that keeps us spinning our wheels. We're 4-3 and have lost to two of the teams who are ahead of us. The front office should not be thinking that gives us the potential to be a Super Bowl contender. It should be thinking what can we do to be a Super Bowl contender. Since we lost to Green Bay and New Orleans, what can we do to give us a better shot at winning if we face them again?

Getting Michael Bennett was a move in the direction of improving the team, but the front office should be doing all it can to make sure the personnel is not hindering our chances. I'm not talking about the coaches, because I don't believe you address that until the end of the season. However, acquiring players to fix weaknesses is something that can be done.
