I measure him in INTs and if he’s a great playmaker then usually a few sacks. Is he an upgrade? Yes. Is he worth 2 first round picks in this defense? No.
He's a brilliant-minded player. Said to be future head coach material. Lives in the film room. Hits like a truck. Disruptive all over.

That's why he's all-pro. Not pro bowl, which means nothing, but all-pro. As in, the best strong safety in the NFL.

We have nobody anything like that.

Just think, we could have Earl Thomas and Jamal Adams on the roster right now.
No, I don't think we could. It would take a willing team, and the team definitely would not spend that much on 2 safeties.

Was Adams going to be the guy that took us to the SB? My answer is no. And if all reports are true that the Jets wanted the moon and the stars for him, I'm glad we passed on it.

IN this case the front office better lead some first pound picks that we be as equal or better value to the Cowboys than what Adams would have been.

While I tend to agree that a safety can't be worth 2 first round picks. The FO still deserves some criticism for only chasing Adams and not bringing in another safety that could give us an upgrade.
They went in with Adams or bust. They got bust.

Would have been a nice addition but not worth breaking the bank and mortgaging the future
There is no such thing as a future in the NFL anymore. Rosters churn over about 90 percent in 5 years.

Zeke is going to get old very fast. The offensive line is a collection of chronic back injuries and strange illnesses. Free agency will soon pick it apart.

The future in the NFL is right now if you think you've got a good enough quarterback and a decent roster.

Nobody’s arguing we don’t have anyone at safety position as good as Adams. Debate is whats the value of the best strong safety in the league? It’s not anything close to DT or DE.

Last year the top 5 passing defenses were: Baltimore, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Minnesota and Arizona. Didn’t exactly win them much.

Should have gone after Earl Thomas, would cost no picks and get elite talent. This will be a big confidence build for Heath, maybe he threaten to tackle Jerry.

The Cowboys made a legitimate offer to the New York Jets for safety Jamal Adams, but the asking price was too much for Dallas’ liking and they would not budge. As much as Adams would have helped immediately and into the future, the Cowboys did not want to give up the draft collateral that New York was seeking.
