How is that good for Jason? These guys aren't playing well and when late for a meeting, get rewarded with a day off and a "come back tomorrow". Not sure how that enforces any kind of rules or discipline.

I don't know if they got fined for conduct but even if there wasn't a fine getting sent home isn't a reward, there's a certain amount of pride involved even if it didn't cost them monetarily. Especially for Hill who is playing on a rookie contract. These guys usually play hard at least until they get the second contract.

into the game plan, - if that were Dlaw and Quinn showing late to practice, would they have received the same send home message ?

Not singling you out personally but this line of thinking that sending a guy home isnt punishment is comes from 9-5 factory or shift work mentality.

In my profession and in pro sports being sent home is embarrassing and more than that it puts the players or employees future in jeopardy.

Too many people here looking for public lashings and blood.

In a profession that has a career span of about 3 years on average getting sent home is more impacting to the player than most can understand.

Cell phones brother. I'm doubting very seriously that either of these guys get sent home if they have a tire go and they simply call in to let the team know that they had an flat. It's like I used to tell my kids. You may get in trouble but you ain't never gonna get in worse trouble then if you don't call us to let us know what's up.
