It's going to be weird, yes. But maybe this team needs a strong character that's going to call players out and hold them accountable.

To me it was the opposite to with Emmitt and Ken Norton Jr.

he’s definitely strong and definitely a character but I wouldn’t put both those words together to describe him

With free agency as it is, who has been signed that never looked right to you wearing the star?

My candidates are Randall Cunningham and Eddie George.

Speaking of Eddie George, we had one fan who had a picture of Eddie George's No. 27 but with 2.7 in reference to his yards per carry.
I thought that was so funny.

Anytime we are used to seeing a player in a different uniform it's a little weird at first when they wear the Cowboy uniform. But it's much less weird for me than veterans we have had in the past that were so heavily identifiable as a member of another team - guys like Randall Cunningham, Bernie Kosar, Eddie George and Zach Thomas come to mind. Those guys were all kind of the heart of their previous teams at one point. Bennett is going to his 5th team, so he isn't quite as heavily identifiable as others with their previous team.

Plus his brother was here, so the name won't look too unfamiliar.

I still can't believe Randall Cunningham, wore the star
IIRC he was hard up on money. He was doing Granite in LV when Minnesota first came a calling after he was out of football for all of 1996 season.

I don't know that Randall Cunningham ever had money issues. I do recall him starting up a construction business, but not because he was on the verge of going bankrupt or anything.

I'll go back to Deion Sanders. He was always just a paid mercenary to me, even though I was glad to have him. But I can't say I ever viewed him as a true Cowboy.
