Our linebackers were whiffing on first contact literally almost every running play. LVE and Jaylon couldn't tackle Cook last night if he was in a wheelchair.

I did notice on a few plays where the interior got some good penetration but it basically allowed the Minnesota OL to advance to the second level and maul us.

Just like Safety the Cowboys dont value run stuffing 1 Techs. They want the "Twitch" Guys with "Position Flex" that never do anything well.

Because we also have suspects DBs every year we cant stack the box and trust them to make a Play 1v1. That leads to what we see all the time.

Horrible scheme, tackling and linebackers getting blown up on blocks or whiffing on tackles in open space. That and their running back is legit.

Many, and yes, many here, have been overvaluing this defense and did that coming into the season. Don't get pissed at something you elevated because you wanted that to happen.

The defense and lack of real attention to it, all you have to do is look at the cap distribution, has been what's holding the team back for years. The attention has been far too concentrated on the edge and not enough in the middle and the back end.

The magic number is 17, 17 points at home and the odds of winning are in the host team's favor. Where do we think they are at 28?

LVE looks stiff. Really thinking his neck is an issue right now. Even the game before on the sidelines - they would show him and he looked like he couldn't turn his neck. Something is off right now.

The linebackers that Dallas have, specifically LVE and Smith, are over-reactive, and typically get themselves out of position to make tackles in space. If you notice, they can run someone down with their speed, but in space, they are usually easily faked out and overrun the play. The other thing is we have pitiful safety support at the spot of attack, so once you get past the d-line, which is usually easy to do, the linebackers and safeties are not consistently able to make tackles. Dallas better get ready from now on out, because they are going to be fed a huge diet of sweeps, swing passes and screen passes, since MInnesota embarrassed them repeatedly on those types of plays. It's sad that Dallas' leadership and ownership can't figure out how to find players with basic tackling skills on some of the most basic plays that are run. Just proves this team is an average/below average team and even lower rated in their idiot coaching.

I agree, it is not just about getting over powered, IMO. Just like the Rams in the playoffs, it seems like teams that stay committed to the run will beat us because they can see tendency's with the things the front 7 does. It's either that or they are weaklings and I don't think that's the case.
