Yup, that's why I asked!!!

Still, it was an incredibly stupid move to give up draft picks for a Qb who was not good. The season was tanked, desperate moves generally don't have good effects long term.

Moore better figure out something to improve our run game against a good defense. Every defense from now on will try to do what the Saints and the Vikings did to Zeke. We are going to be facing above average defenses next few weeks (Patriots, Bills, Bears and Rams).

I broke all this down before the season started.

This isn't a missed training camp issue.

Zeke doesn't break tackles. He doesn't make guys miss. He no longer makes explosive runs. His yards per route run is mediocre. His situational running (redzone, 4th quarter when leading and open field 3rd and 4th and 2 running) were all mediocre.

The only thing elite about this guy is his rushing volume and contract.

You hate to see it indeed.

Zeke is not 100% the problem. The oline keeps getting blown up or pushed back the majority of the time.

This is simply either uninformed or a lie.

This is the number 1 run blocking line in football. This is the number 4 pass blocking line in football.

Going into last week the Cowboys were the number 1 offense in football by DVOA....largely...amazingly...due to Dak the line and our receivers. Zeke has not been good.

Blaming the best performing line in football is an embarrassing line of attack.

I know it's another Zeke thread but this confirms what I posted about how Zeke doesn't attack the edges anymore.
I haven't seen him try to out run the LB/Safeties to the sidelines and turn the corner for a big gain like he used to.

Too much stuttering on short yardage, and an unwillingness to try to beat defenses to the edge. Not turning on the jets to go upfield or wide.

Its not all on Zeke and its not all on the oline either, as with every thing, the truth lies in the middle.

Is the oline blocking as well as they have in the past? No, they are not. Considering we have 32% of our cap tied up in the oline this is a problem.

Is Zeke making the same plays he used, is he as fast and as quick as he used to be? No, he is not. Considering he got #1 money, its a problem.

Here’s a depressing stat from the video..

Zeke has one 20+ yard run this season. He had 15 in 2016.

Emmitt had a longer long in his last season than Zeke has had yet this season. 29 to 27.

I don't think Zeke is washed up. He's a step below Zeke 2016.

I think it was the Eagles game. Zeke was running hard with acceleration downhill. Run like that and he's fine if not great.

Some of those short yardage plays he seemed to lack the will to *try* to push through a gap. Ran forward and waited to be tackled. And instead of turning on the jets and trying to beat teams wide, he cuts inside for a short gain.

The short yardage failures hurt because that's where he continued to make a difference in 2017. We'd run 4th and 1 and make it. Kept a lot of drives going.

Not a homerun hitter. Not money in short yardage. Not a difference maker.

Zeke was special as a rookie. He's regressed into 2014 Demarco Murray. Still capable of winning the league rushing title and carry the load but not someone we should be offering a big contract too. Missing training camp did not help but he's gone from being a back that ran like he was 10lbs lighter than he actually is to a back that runs like he's 10 lbs heavier.

Some don't want to attribute poor OL run blocking, bad play calling, no FB or TE lead blocking on occasion. The head coach is in charge. That’s the way it works. He’s in charge of getting right all of what you listed. Plus we’ve seen this with several different rosters.

Hard to forget the clock stuff(repeated several times), icing kicker, letting a no namer almost break Derrick Thomas’s record, this latest no punt return, and questionable run calls and not have those be a factor in how Garrett is evaluated.
