I know it's another Zeke thread but this confirms what I posted about how Zeke doesn't attack the edges anymore.
I haven't seen him try to out run the LB/Safeties to the sidelines and turn the corner for a big gain like he used to.

Calm down people. Let’s settle down. I’m sure Gary Brown has advised Zeke.

You asked, I showed!!!!!!!! Narrowing the parameters doesn't negate facts. Barber was not anywhere near quick enough to the hole to ever be a bellcow, and was more overpaid than Zeke.
Roy Williams WR was signed to take TO's place. And we paid him a ton.

Pacman was signed to be the man.

We have had worse signings. And Zeke has been OK, so he has not been a complete flop. Yet.
Which ones were the highest in the league, for a position with shortest half life of any player. Barber was nowhere near paid like top 1-3. Neither was RW11.

There is hindsight with all others, I could be wrong here, but all empirical evidence is not refuting it.

Technically you're right.
Zeke made one person miss on Sunday on 20 carries. ONE.

Of his 47 yards, 37 of them were before contact. So he averaged almost two yards of space after the LOS before being contacted.

More "if Zeke doesnt perform it's everyone elses fault but his own" BS.

With Zeke, its everyone elses fault. With Dak, its all on Dak.

And FYI...…..don't tell anyone, but Dak learned to NOT take sacks again.

That wasn't the primary goal of this discussion. It was about worse signings.

Since Elliot has been decent, he has been a far better signing than several. And you might even be able to include Jaylon Smith in that discussion.

Thornton, Carroll, and Byron Bell all got nice contracts, and all were completely useless.

It's a story that's been told many times, running back gets paid big money, running back starts to decline. Of course he could rebound but it's not looking good and the guys saying we should have let him walk are looking to be the correct ones.

Always enjoy his breakdowns but seems completely off base here and just downright wrong on some of these.

He says both safeties are back on one play (clearly not).. Have no idea what he's talking about.

I see poor blocking on most of these.
This line is still good but nowhere in the realm of what it was 2014-2016. Seems like every play someone is missing there man regardless of if it effects the play or not.

None of these guys was getting top money like Zeke is. This is far and away the WORST signing in franchise history. Zeke is not only NOT worthy enough as a back to being highest paid at the position also doesn't warrant the investment. And doing it two years before his contract is up puts this signing waaaaaay over the top.

smh...
Hoping he starts turning it round.. I mean he's clearly leaving meat on the bone

Whatever Faulk helped him with this offseason.. he needs to forget.

Wasn't like he was hitting big splash home runs last year in 2018 either, with his longest run for 40 yards, ..so the big play runs were not there - even before Faulk got his hands on Zeke.
something was already going on, with his breakaway decline even before Faulk and the holdout.

but to his credit, he was still a very durable iron man provider as he had no spell relief help in Rod Smith, he never missed a single game, he took on the wear and tear toll of running, catching and blitz blocking while he yet again led the NFL in rushing.

So what? If Zeke needs the best line in football, that this only proves the point of the anti Zeke establishment.

Many of us were complaining about last year as well.

I just cant take it seriously when you are comparing 10s of millions in guarantees to a couple of million dollars and players cur immediately (like carrol). The latter happens and is part of all team churns, the former rarely happens to good teams.

Baldy keeps saying "This is a well-blocked play", but it isn't. In every case, a defender sheds the blocker and contributes to the tackle.
I'm not seeing good blocking. There are clearly O linemen who just stopped blocking a defender before the play was over. And in slow motion, he makes it seem like there's all this space but in real time second level defenders filled any hole.

Define top money.

RW11 and Barber both got top money. Way overpaid.

If you mean they must be paid the best in the NFL, then you have narrowed the parameters to try and claim a silly victory. Kinda weak.

Running backs need blocking. Quarterbacks need blocking. Otherwise do not overpay the O-line.

I was in the crowd of not resigning Zeke fyi

I think Baldy attempting to be completely ridiculous here on purpose to make a point. Nearly every example he gives is horrible blocking. The Saints DT is in the backfield before Zeke even get the ball..lol

It's interesting that some fans are repeating what he said verbatim.

I have to wonder if Zeke held out with 2 years left because he knew he was losing it, and didn't want the FO to see that before he got his contract.

If I buy a $200 pair of shoes that falls apart in 3 months, that was a bad purchase, if I buy a 40K used car that gets transmission failure knowing that model has a propensity for it, that was a really dumb purchase. If I buy a $2mm home in malibu mountains that cannot get fire insurance and it burns down, that is an all time stupid deal.

Magnitude matters and to discount it is shifting the arguement for volume vs impact. Not difficult stuff
