Garrett is familiar with the New York/New Jersey market, albeit not as a coach. But he is definitely familiar with coaching under pressure. He plays for an owner/GM, Jones, who is frequently and publicly candid with his analysis of the Cowboys’ performance.

Pressure in this market wouldn’t be an issue for Garrett. And it’s not like he’d have to worry about his GM or owner publicly assessing him on a regular basis, since Dave Gettleman and Mara don’t speak to reporters nearly as often as Jones.

Will Garrett to the Giants happen? Maybe not.

But if Mara has a chance to get Garrett, he can’t let it pass the Giants by.

Obviously an opinion piece but figured it was worth a read or a chuckle. I saw a message board post on here a few weeks back with Giants fans thinking the same thing and now this article. I do think he will be a head coach somewhere next year if it’s not here.

That's certainly a possibility, and it's also possible that he'll have more success his second go-round like some others have done. So much would depend on the staff he assembles because he's simply not a good X and O's guy.

Snyder might be interested as well. Blank was at one time and Quinn's hanging by a thread.

I think we don't really know how well connected and networked Garrett is with the owners. He got a standing ovation on his PI review speech before the vote, using words that cause woody's with owners, the integrity of the game. In fact, I think it was after that meeting that Kraft stopped off for a massage.

I find it very hard to believe that Garrett will get hired as a head coach anywhere. Why would anyone want him to lead their team? The Cowboys know as one of the most talented teams in the NFL and are predictable, conservative and underachieve.

What will shock people is that a lot of teams will be interested, and he may very well be successful once he leaves Jerry's circus tent act.
There it is, could very well happen. There's a very good reason that of the four stops in Parcells HC career, the one in Dallas was his most ineffective.

We have no idea how the league and the owners feel about Garrett. We just use him as our punching bag for our frustrations. Hell, he might be happier than anyone here to get out of that circus tent.

Garrett getting fired and going to the Giants or Commanders would be the greatest thing to happen to this team since Superbowl XXX

Can he be cloned and send one to each the Commanders and Giants. Then find a way to get him in Philly too.

Then we can be like the Patriots and win the division for 20 years.

Great now Jerry will read this and think Garrett has value to other teams, and will keep him. Please to not give Jason any props, we need him gone.
He's already said Garrett would have interest from 5 other teams.

The one thing no one has asked. Do you think Garrett is happy? As goofy as the Joneses are, they may have told him that Linehan was staying and he acted on that, they chancged their mind and he looked really foolish. Think he's not more from the Jimmy Johnson school of coaching than the Booger Jones style of coddling and excusing?

erod may be dead on. We only know Garrett from his stint here in Dallas with this reality show. We don't know if he's been on board with these bad actors Booger dragged in. Do we really think Garrett was OK with Hardy slapping that clipboard out of his STC's hands when he's getting his guys ready? How about Bryant's 'baby just has too much passion" walk off before the gun sounded? Owens and Bryant going off on the sideline and Bryant in the locker room.

Garrett is the HC in name but he is once removed form the players, they belong to Booger. I would like to see Garrett operate under a more traditional team set up just to know how much of this was him and how much the most ridiculous situation in professional sports history.
