What is wrong with our run game?

Zeke can't get outside and other teams know it so they are stacking up the middle of the field.

Zeke seems to know it too. A number of plays in recent weeks where he's cutting back inside when it looks like he has the edge going outside.

why is Zeke look so much slower?...cant be still the Cabo affect....we have played 10 games....that is the thing man...when a running back slows down they dont all of a sudden become lightning quick again

it's our blocking schemes on running plays. they've been figured out. time to return to good old smash mouth football. no more zone blocking.

After so much success with the power run scheme with McFadden in 2015, I was hoping we'd rotate power and zone blocking instead of picking one going forward. Being able to do both is a real weapon in causing confusion in the defense.

Just curious, we should have all the tools yet we are not vey dominant?.

The offensive line has been really bad. Fredbeard isn't who he used to be, Martin has a ton of injuries, and Xaviar/Williams haven't been good.

The OL and Zeke are beat up from running against 8-10 men boxes for 3.5 years straight.

cern--you hit it bullseye...our runblocking zone scheme has been figured out..we have to adjust to man on man smashmouth..or something...and what the heck is going on with our defense?...everyone is punching us in the mouth
yeah we won...but Lions made a game out of it ...what is your honest opinion on next week against Pats?...the fanzone would raise holy hell if i put up a Platinum guarantee cause i am only 50-50...but i like to go fan crazy for our cowboys
but many say my plats are a jinx so i may have to retire them?
I wish we never had released frank pollack as the o-line coach. huge mistake.

Dak has improved so much this year....see how he has his feet and hips on a swivel?...it is beautiful to watch...he is turning into a very dangerous pocket passer...forget name of guy they hired who use to back up Romo...but he has been a magician with Dak

Dak also took external QB coaching this offseason. Not to throw shade at Kitna, as I like him as our QB coach, I'm just not sure that all the credit goes to Kitna.

Lots of it should go to Dak. Clearly put in the work this offseason.

pressure the immobile brady and we should win. our biggest problem today was containing a scrambling qb. and as mentioned earlier, change up our run blocking schemes.

their pass protection has been very good. the run blocking is another matter. a change is needed in that regard.

EzE got benched and rightfully so. He should have remained benched

cern--- i might be just as terrorized if i was chased by that huge fish you caught..hehehehe

he typically hits the line slowly, waiting for the blocking to get established. but this year the blocking is breaking down and there's nowhere for him to go.

I've concluded that in another thread.

Pollack took over in 2015, switched the oline to a power scheme for McFadden, and made him the #4 back in the league after not starting the first 6 games.

Then switched the oline back to zone to make Zeke the top back in the league in 2016.

Does that look like a guy who can't coach an oline? Can't coach *our* oline?

The 2017 oline problems were Tyron's bad back, and the Chaz Green Debacle. I don't think either were Pollack's choice, but he was the one who took the fall.

Garrett football. Callahan out. Pollack out. Eberflus out. Competence is shown the door to keep in place the incompetence above them.

You have a 1st year OC who doesn’t know anything about a running game. You also have a 2nd year OL coach. Then you have a head coach who doesn’t really get involved in this (and could never figure out the running game himself) stuff. Is it really a question what the problem is?

must agree....i think he goes to a QB clinic in Florida during offseason...whatever or whoever helped him and of course his own hard work ethic has paid off big time
