All the Zeke Hate, but the problem really is the offensive line

All of this Zeke hate all over the place is unfounded. The REAL hate or criticism should be directed squarely to the offensive line.

The offensive line has sucked royally for weeks now. They are the ones looking fat and slow. They are getting routinely pushed backwards off the line. It is alarming how poorly the ENTIRE lot of them are playing. Every running play they are getting manhandled.

Yet, on passing plays they are doing well. Weird huh? Yeah. But then watch again and it seems that the way they are blocking on run plays is no different than how they block on passing plays.

Why?

I see no movement forward on running plays whatsoever. Frederick is a liability on running plays. He is usually getting pushed backwards. Collins was also. Even Tyron Smith is getting pushed backwards or at least stymied. Oh wait, not Martin too. Yeah Martin too is not getting enough push.

I really do not understand what people expect Zeke to do? Should he stop and spin and run outside like Barry Sanders? Well, he is no Barry Sanders. But it would take someone with equal swivel hips as Barry Sanders to do well with this line. Dallas OL has regressed BADLY.

Question, is this on Columbo? Does Moore have anything to do with this? Whoever is at fault, needs to be fired. This OL is a liability on running plays. No RB will ever flourish behind this line the way it is currently blocking.

Already posted about this. Go listen to glen stretch about how the problem is with Frederick. Hasn't fully recovered. Maybe he will or maybe he wont ever fully recover. Once that Dak contract gets signed, the Cowboys will have to make tough decisions on players who are not producing in line with their compensation.

Zeke has 0 burst this season. Isn’t hitting the line of scrimmage with any authority. Has had several opportunities to bounce outside but hasn’t done so. If you’re going to pay him elite money he deserves a large amount of blame.

EzE isn't hitting the hole fast enough, causing said holes to collapse on him. His first season, he'd hit the holes to quick, and he learned to be patient. Now, the tub of guts can'y move fast enough.
No, watch film tape and you will see. Holes are not there. Watch how many of our OL are behind the LOS by the time Zeke gets the ball handed to him. Very alarming.

He had some serious burst when he caught the screen pass and ran it in for a TD. He has burst, what he lacks is holes to burst through.

I see a lot of running plays where our OL doesn't fire off the ball but rather block like they would if it were a pass play. Wow. Who is telling them to do this?

Ok, so the OL can only open holes for Pollard, who has no issues making them. Got it.
What? You mean the huge hole on the 2 point conversion where he barely made it in? Oh you mean the trick play they never run to Zeke where he gets it tossed to him so he can get outside. Yeah those work. Would work for Zeke too. When has Pollard lately hit a Hole up the middle for anything?

Loaded boxes every week is a more likely cause. Not to mention, Zeke moves around like the Michelan man.
Boxes are not loaded every week. Other than that you're right Zeke lacks burst and willingness to challenge the edge.

The offensive line has little effect that when Zeke gets touched that he goes down way more easier than he did before his contract. Before when an opposing player made contact with him, they would go backwards and he would grind those extra 2-3 yards. That can be a difference between 3rd and long and 3rd and short.

You mean when he was able to run straight line and needed to make virtually nobody miss? Best you can say is he made great catch there.

Yet this same line faced loaded boxes ever since 2016 when Zeke came into the league. Nothing new at all.
But the line was creating gaping holes too. This year’s O-line has been pretty average, to not so good.

The whole “one of the best O-lines in the NFL” does not apply anymore.
