Better QB

Romo by a mile.

I've never been big on Rivers' game. And he's so hard to watch because he throws the ball like his shoulder pads are too big to do the full motion. Makes it look like the ball weighs 25 pounds.

This is an easy one, Rivers. We would have won a lot of super Bowls with that guy. Thankfully the Giants made a huge mistake, and traded him away for Eli Manning.

The Chargers have been an awful team and rivers made them a competitive team for over a decade. Longevity means something.

He became a better quarterback. After he got married. It seemed to change his personality. His BFF was Jason Witten. He wasn't a great teammate according to most players. That's why I don't think he'd make a great coach. I don't think he has the personality people skills.

No, we wouldn’t have. Rivers is awful in the clutch and would crap the bed in the Super Bowl worse than Manning. He would need an amazing defense to win a Super Bowl....like Manning. And Rivers is no Peyton Manning.

Dude is overrated. Availability =\= greatness

I like Romo and River but for me the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence and I would choose Rivers over Romo. Romo was dam good but he made just too many mistakes.

This is funny thing to say since Rivers cratered way more often in late game situations than Romo did (someone posted the stats for it earlier, it's not even close) and had a much worse playoff passer rating. He threw picks in the playoffs at almost TRIPLE THE RATE Romo did, for instance.

But facts have never had much to do with the judgments of Romo.

Talking out your ***

Romo has one of the highest 4th quarter ratings in the NFL

Rivers however

“Romo made too many mistakes....give me the most mistake prone franchise QB of all time”

Interception rate in playoffs:

Romo 1.1%
Rivers 2.8%

Rivers is the stat-accumulating choker that Romo was always accused of being. You have to give him credit for durability over Romo without a doubt but that's kind of it.

Rivers body of work is just better. Part of what makes a player better is their availability.
It's not like Romo in his "short" career was a shooting start like Terrell Davis. To me even when Romo was playing he was at or below Rivers level, in terms of TD's completions, yards, etc
Rivers did make a championship game. He played on a torn Achilles back in 2007. He did beat Manning in a wild card game.
Going back to the 2004 Draft class I would take Rivers over Eli but not before Big Ben. The sad part is that Rivers/ Chargers ~ Romo/Cowboys. The Chargers are our AFC equivalent.
Injuries, bad luck, bad coaching, new and innovative ways to lose a big game in spectacular fashion. The irony is amazing yet comedic.
This is one of the worst posts I have ever read. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but this...this makes me question if that should be true.

A reasonable person could argue either way. Unfortunately for the 2019 Rivers, he's looking pretty rough. I watched him play Monday night, and he made a lot of bad throws and bad decisions.

Literally the AFC and NFC versions of eachother lol said this forever

I don't understand your hatred. Worst post!!! Come on? Rivers is a better QB than Romo.

Rivers....he's had nothing to work with his whole career. Tough SOB If they switched places Romo would have been broken in half by year 4.

I haven't watched cry me a Rivers all that much to be honest, but when I did, he was usually acting like a big giant baby. Antonio Ramiro Romo gets my vote.

Yeah, outside of having a HOF running back (Tomlinson) and a future HOF tight end (A. Gates) I can see where you’re coming from.
