The guy had a bad game but it's not like jarwin was lighting it up either. 3 for 17. The passing game as a whole wasn't great, know what was good the running game we abandoned.

He was awful. I saw a couple of missed blocks and then on the pass that was nearly intercepted in the end zone, Dak had to wait for Grampa to complete the route. It took him too long where the DB playing zone had a chance to work back inside. Make him a coach or something, get him off the field.

Witten also had that costly fumble against the Saints. This is a case of an old unretired player not wanting to hang it up.

Didn't see a missed block. I did see where he chipped an released but that's what they asked him to do. Untill yesterday he still averaged 80% catch rate and probably still leads all receivers and right ends. The pass protection wasn't the issue.

9 straight games without a td is not ok. Not when youre dominating passing snaps. These tes scored 1 td in 15 games last year and dominated snapcounts. Its an everydown te passing scheme with no accountability under Garrett. He leaves them out there on important downs and THEY ALWAYS COME UP EMPTY HANDED AND NEVER MAKE ANY GAME WINNING PLAYS. THEY NEVER WIN BEAN. SUBSTITUTE FOR BETTER RBS AND SLOT WRS OR GET A COACH WHO ISNT SCARED TO BENCH A TE
HOW CAN YOU STICK WITH A TE DOMINATED SCHEME IF THEY DONT PRODUCE POINTS???? SOMEBODY IN DC NATION EXPLAIN WHY OUR MAIN RECEIVER IN SNAPCOUNTS IS A 2 TD A YEAR SCORING THREAT? LOL. BEEN SAYING ITS OUR TE CORE BECAUSE THEY CANT SCORE. ADD UP DEM' POINTS THEY GOT A BUNCH OF RINKY DINK SCORES AGAINST THE GIANTS IN 5YRS. IF SOMEBODY DOESNT SLIP ON A BANANNA PEEL OUR GUYS TRUE TALENT DOESNT SHINE AND ARE SCORELESS WHEN THERE IS COVERAGE

All our TE’s suck. So by the default Witten still starts because of experience. We need to draft a damn good TE.

It sickens me that after each screwup he just goes back to the huddle and it's more of the same. Dropping passes and missing blocks, but this staff wouldn't think of actually replacing such a name with a guy who might actually play better.

Comfort vs production shows itself once again in Dallas.

Really....

He's 9th among TE's in receptions, 11th in yards. Catches 75% of his targets and he's 14th in first down conversions for TE's. All this with three solid WR options ahead of him, Zeke and Pollard both solid receiving threats and we run the ball a decent amount. He wasn't brought here to be anywhere near the focal point of the offence and he's the exact role model you want your young guys like Dak, Zeke and Jarwin learning from.

I may give Jarwin a few more opportunities out there and yesterday wasn't Witten's best game but really?? Not sure what you guys expected out of the guy when he came back.... I'm sure the coach on the opposite sideline last night would take him.

Defensive coordinators sleep better at night when they know that the "threat" at TE next week is going to be a 37 year old turtle with failing hands and an aptitude for penalties and turn overs. But we are incapable of adapting so lets soldier on I guess.

Go hang with Buger. 4 targets 1 catch 5 yds

Witten was bad yesterday.
No argument there. He had a pretty bad game.

Just curious--why isn't bad weather an excuse for a guy who's almost 40 and a sure fire HOFer?

Yeah. I really wish he had stayed in the booth, because some fans, especially the younger ones, are going to remember him for the disaster that has been this year and not for the Hall of Fame career that he had. I love old man Witten, but he's a shell of his former self. The experiment needs to be ended.
But he looked super fast in mini camps and TC. He even shaved his head.

Always defended Witt, but too many easy drops this season and a game changing fumble.
He was a great TE during a period of time for the DC that has now obviously past. His speed has diminished and he's lost a lot of blocking technique too. JJ has him in there to sell jerseys at this point.

Love the guy but if he can't hang his hat on Reliability, sure hands.. etc.. then he's awful. For the first time I can remember, I was truly pissed at him wanting him to sit.

The poor guy can't even get his toes off the ground when he jumps. Wish i was exaggerating.

Witten is still the best TE on this team.
If you are calling him out for one game then fine.
