I really thought Jerry would fire Jason Friday

And I think he knows he should have. He has to know that the end is here and the longer he puts it off, the worse it will get.
I think it's likely that the Cowboys will not win another game this year if Garrett is not removed. His situation has become a distraction and the Cowboys lose focus too quickly in games. It's burnout.
The Eagles are in bad shape, but they will likely rally.
The Commanders are playing better under Callahan.
And the Rams are next.

Three games left. Need to win two to win the division ... he’s here until we are done

Honestly, he needs to do it now.

If it starts getting in the press that we're interviewing head coach prospects already, this team will tank harder than ever. And then we don't have the slightest chance of the playoffs.

Firing JG now allows them to conduct their search in the open, and maybe it will light a fire under these turds.

And honestly, can it get worse? We've been blown out in two consecutive games in primetime with the season on the line.

I’ll say this.

If you’re trying to land a coach I think it’s good that a coach can see that Jerry will let them finish the season at least before he would fire them.

Yes, it can get worse.
The Rams are next, and losing out the rest of the way will be worse.

If you really thought Jerry was going to fire his golden boy yesterday, you’re either being naive or overly optimistic.

Jerry isn’t firing his boy while the cowboys are still fighting for a playoff spot.

And yes we all know this team isn’t going to go anywhere even if they back into the playoffs. But this is Jerry we are talking about. An incompetent GM who makes decisions based on pride and emotion rather than reason and rationality.

The Cowboys are in 1st place and in the playoffs if the season ended today.

While that situation exists, Garrett isn't going anywhere. Garrett's fate has always been tired to what the Cowboys do (or don't do) in the playoffs.

I think this is an extraordinary situation in which the team would actually stand a better chance of making the playoffs if Garrett was gone.

Rofl you think this team can win 2 games? They won't win again period

I didn’t say we’d win two games.

I simply applied the logic and reason why Garrett will not be fired until seasons end. Some people here don’t comprehend the reasoning behind it.

We're already losing the rest of the way.

We've dropped 3 straight without the slightest sign of life.

The team has already quit and the head coach and the entire staff are lame ducks.

Newsflash: we've already reached rock bottom.

Everyone makes it sound like they’re in first place because of Garrett, when in fact they’re losing out because of him. Rather see some sense of urgency even if they did back into a playoff spot. Not the same old garbage. The sad and pathetic football team this guy pedals on a regular basis. Besides the GM, does anyone actually believe he gives them the best chance in January? LOL cause we all know thats a load of crap.

He won't fire him because his contract is done in 3 weeks anyway. Bright side is our draft pick improves as we slide to 6-10. :(

That may or not be true.

But it would have to be someone already with the team. Like Aikman said, no one has earned that interim HC position.

Bringing in someone from outside the organization to coach the last 3 games doesn't sound like a recipe for success.
