Dak’s mechanics fall apart when he has no time and is playing from behind. He gets happy feet, makes bad reads, forces throws— all the things he has been told not to do.

None of that is on Kitna. Dak has to maintain discipline and try not to do too much.

Dak and this team are only able to win under very specific conditions and criteria.

I remember everyone on here praising what an addition and how it would be the key to Dak. Why do you nincompoops do stuff like this? Im tired.....of drinking.

i find it difficult to blame any assistant coach at this point. This is a fundamental issue that’s been plaguing the team for 13 years. I’d say since the Garrett and Phillips hire and then Marinelli. An underachieving football team, nothing’s changed. Hard to pin it on the QB coach or 1st year OC or 2nd year secondary coach. All those things still need a quality HC and that doesn’t exist here.

True im really tired of all the coach hate threads,..

I realize we need a new staff as this one has worn out their welcome, have reached their peak..

However the coaches do not teach layers to commit penalties, fumble, throw INts, drop passes, miss kicks, bad tackling and miss blocks.

as a matter a fact most made it to the nfl knowing how to do a lot of that stuff and obviously pretty well..

most of our issues are with the mental make up of the players themselves.. they have to get this worked out or we will see more of the same..

I agree no way coaching can fix dak, he has been seeing ghosts when pressured and flat out going old 2017 dak.. hes in bad place mentally..i believe he will dig his way out but will it be quick enough to salvage the season, not sure? hes got the yips like the kicker or a golfer when under pressure, thats mental.

100%

I would be happy with a clean sweep of the coaching staff, but this way too oversimplified blame game that seemingly absolves the players for on the field play is stupid.

Nobody is coaching Jaylon into taking false steps, whiffing in the open field. Nobody is coaching Dak into holding onto the ball and running out of bounds behind the LOS for a loss...

I think his mechanics have improved and he’s leading the league in passing yards.

Kitna gets some cred from me.

The big reason he is leading is because we are always playing from a big deficit and we abandon the run even when we are one score down and next thing interception or 3 and out and we are 2 scores down and really forget the run.

And so it is written...And so it has been. Absolute truthful summary.

In Dak’s defense— he has played 3 very good defenses in a row. If he wants to be paid elite money he needs to show up more against better competition and that is on him

The more concerning thing to me are the inexplicable consistent slow starts and entire halfs where the offense just self-destructs. Sure- they end up beating teams like Miami and NYG— but it’s not like they played extremely well.

This is just an observation— but I find it interesting that the past two weeks the first drives have looked awesome. You can tell they focused on starting strong— but then it’s like they have no gameplan or Plan B to counter how teams play them.

Which brings us back to Kellen and ultimately Jason and how they call the game and their overarching offensive philosophies and tendencies

Disappointing year

Dak is the same as he was in college.
Whoever scouted him and recommended him should be fired along with Garrett.
Unless Dak is allowed to stand quietly behind a wall of blockers he chokes and pulls the team down with him.

I think Dak might benefit from a sports psychologist. He has the right tools for the job, but when he feels pressure, he grabs the first one he sees.

This is why league leading passers and record setting passers are seldom on Championship teams.

The offense has been inconsistent to downright terrible so please stop trying to deflect blame from one side of the ball to the other. All three phases have been trash which is why the team has a losing record and the entire coaching staff is about to be purged.
True, but blaming Kitna for Dak regressing under pressure is just silly.
