Team is not even close

Yes, they are, almost every team in the NFL is close these days.

A couple of key FAs and a good coaching hire and Dallas wins 10 plus games next season.

After watching the 49s and Saints game, this team is not close to being able to compete with either of these teams, they are so much faster and play so much better. Darn we maybe 2 years before we can come close, this years draft was a disaster
They said during that game that SF or Seattle would be the WC team dallas would have to play lol

I agree, Noclaf...or is it falcoN?

Say, how long 'ya been a 'boys fan?

Joined Sep 28, 2015? Hmm...we played Atlanta on Sep 27, 2015.

Drop the "we" business. If you want to hang around, just do like other teams' fans and let it be known your loyalty (and this goes to Aria, too).
He fool, it has nothing to do with Falcons, dear lord. Its a gaming name, and if you want ill show you the pic I took of Troy at thousand oaks his rookie year! You are why Boys fans have a horrible reputation

Wrong.

Bill Belichick could win the Super Bowl with the roster the Cowboys had to start this season.

The team is 1 great coaching staff away from greatness.

I've been harping on the Zone Run Blocking issues that the Cowboys have in regards to the Cowboys defense defending it and the Cowboys offense executing it. No coincidence that the 49ers Head Coach Shannahan is a master of the Zone Blocking scheme.

Last year the Rams won in large part due to their variation of the Zone Blocking scheme. It was by far the number #1 reason the Rams ran for 275 yards against the Cowboys in the playoff game.

The Cowboys were great running a version of ZBS in 2014 when Bill Callahan was the OL coach. He was the best Cowboys coach of the Garrett era but Garrett ran him off (Jerry tried to get Callahan to sign a new contract but Callahan "hated" Garrett and refused).

Didn’t we only lose by a FG in New Orleans? A competent coaching staff would have this team sitting at 10-3 at worst. Bad, antiquated schemes can make good players look average. Also poor technique and lack of player development hurts too. If we get a real coach and let him pick his assistants we’ll be a contender next year.

Not just good coaching but good schemes. Won't matter much if we swap coaches but keep these schemes. Especially on defense imo.

Not to be an ***, but isn’t that the point?
What “good coach” would keep these schemes?

none. Just about every team this year called us out for being simplistic.

i just saw the chiefs run 3 different motions before running on a 4th and 1.

Teddy Bridgewater.

The same Teddy Bridgewater who went into Seattle the week before and beat the Seahawks? He did a great job filling in for Brees what did they go 4-1? Yes Brees is better but the Saints are more than Brees now.

Incorrect. While our coaching is close to the worst in the league, this team just isn’t as talented as we once believed. Are they talented? Yes. Are they as talented as the Ravens, 49ers, or Saints? No. I guarantee if you switch the coaches, it wouldn’t do a thing. We just aren’t as great. Jaylon is regressing. Zeke is regressing. Dak is regressing (at least since the Lions game). Everyone is regressing. That can’t all be put on the coaching IMO. What good corners do we have besides J-Lew, who is just great compared the rest of our corners? We have no good safeties. Our defensive line is garbage. Our whole defense isn’t talented. Our offense is okay, but it’s not great. We need playmakers. We don’t have any.

when is the last time we blocked a punt? when is the last time we had a DLinemen drop back into coverage and get a pick like Watt just did?

TJ Watt is a linebacker. He drops back into coverage about 40% of the time, to the chagrin of Steelers fans.
