Thanks for the insightful comment on your never ending dislike for Zeke...
I get your point and agree, but if the D could stop a third down they'd have less TOP.People will play highlights of Zeke in his rookie year but many of those big runs were out of a power blocking scheme not zone runs. We used to mix it up..don't see it much anymore. We used to pull Zach and Fred out 4-5 times per game, we used block man on man on "half" the runs...don't see that anymore. Dak used to run it 3-4 times per game..don't see that either.
I see shotgun slant.. It's a beautiful play and Dak throws it well but bring back the power run and play keep away. Our defense needs less TOP
He's not wrong. Zeke, much like Murray did, and every other successful RB has, will fade into obscurity as soon as he goes to a team with a less dominant OL.
Saw the interview.Just saw a video which i i struggled to watch all the way through because of Skip and Shannon.
But watched because Scandrick doesnt sugarcoat the team, but doesnt try and be cute with his responses either.
Skip and Shannon were there as usually trying to out cliche eachother about Jerrys meddling and pep talks and it switched to Scandrick. The look he had was like he was looking at two idiots, and just said Jerry doesnt give pep talks.
Then they start talking about the players and their play. And again Scandricks just looking at both of them and when it switches to him he says, Marinelli is a guy who runs a strict scheme, fundamentals ect. Then just says this isnt Marinelli's scheme, its Richards scheme. Says Theres a reason Carroll got rid of him. Said he is a great Db coach and repeats theres a reason he isnt coaching in seattle.
Then again skip and shannon go off on eachother and it resorts to talking about the offense. Skip starts talking about Elliot and starts talking about all the cliches this forum talks about. The sticking point, Elliot isnt going nowhere with the ball. Scandrick chimes in and says, how is elliot supposed to get going when there are 2-3 guys on him as he gets to the LOS. How is he supposed to get off when youre running the same plays every week. No changes no adjustments.
This is coming from a guy who was on the team just a couple yrs ago.
Saw the interview.
Yes he indicated this in the interview.
So his shifting of the defensive issues are to Richard.
I was suspicious there was something wrong about Richard leaving Seattle
Never heard why.
Now he has stumbled again here.
Despite signings like Bennett and Quinn and drafting Trysten Hill at DT. And Taco before him..Marinelli specials.
So Marinelli and Richard do not team well as times goes on.
I know Marinelli is supposed to be stepping aside for Richard but with a new HC coming?
That all maybe on hold now.
I still think Rivera is the best coach who addresses our needs with the least upheaval.
Top 10 for sure if not top 5
He has a few rushing titles that says so
Everything is broken with this team and it really looked like, for a second, that the direction was going with the wind of the sail.
Everything is broken and there are so many weak points, when you look at the entire organization.
Emmitt would not have done much without a good OLine...

How about the nose rings ?Why do I have to like Zeke?
Nothing to like with his off the field nonsense. And finally, people are seeing the light that a large part of his success was due to the 2016 Oline. We also wasted the 4th pick in the draft on him and just signed him to a 90 million dollar deal.
What is to like actually?

Does anybody like those ? Does it make him look better? Does he think he looks better with those??
The main things I see with zeke is
1.not in good condition, he has gained too much weight, and has let his body go downhill.
You cant party all off season and then get back in the same shape you were before in couple of months.
In 2016 he looked good, and anyone can see the difference in then and now.
2. His vision and decisions on where to run are not good most of the time. He also just runs right into his guys or defenders.
If no hole in middle or whole line, he just runs into the pile, never bounces it outside.
3.He can catch the ball ok, but runs awful routes, and often just gets out of backfield and just stands there. No working
to give dak a short outlet.
4. seems to have no speed anymore and still has a burst but we dont see that much. He doesnt seem to be giving max
effort all the time.
5. the breaks, if it is 2nd down and 3rd and 2 coming up , and dallas is in red zone, and he takes himself out,
is that crazy ?? To me that is crazy, and if madden were still around it would bug him too.
This is where elliot with poor conditioning, and stamina cant be in on downs he really should be in the game.
Jimmy would send him to the asthma field .
The block schemes are awful, and that is the problem for most part, not the OL or elliot, I wont get into that, but
the schemes are really flawed. I see the same thing on other teams too, so it isnt just dallas.
Bottom line is Dallas has a plethora of problems, and a HC too stupid to see them and therefore cant fix them.
I have been wanting to use that word for good while now lol
You're completely entitled to your opinion. But repeating it 50 times per day is annoying and lame.
I liked the signing because he was the DB coach. When it was out that he was gonna have more input, i immediately didnt like it. He basically has the DL doing things that puts his LBers in a hole, and has his DBs playing in a soft zone that further puts his pass defense in another hole
Would love that but it’s unrealistic we could land all 3 of them when probably all of them would want to be HC but ya that would rockRight now this would be my realistic choice for a HC OC and DC
HC Urban Meyer
OC Bill Callahan
DC Ron Rivera
But back then Jerry fired him because he would have been the exact opposite of what Jerry wanted in a coach.Innovation. Not seen in Dallas since the Landry days.
