I agree but will add two names - Richard and O'Quinn.
Yes, although Richard was OK in 2018 as the secondary coach. He was much better than the previous secondary coaches.

Richard should be replaced because the players need a new voice from that coaching position but not because he is a bad DB coach.

Jerry should offer to pay O'Quinn's salary if another NFCE team will let him coach for them...

Please fire Rowdy also.

The Jerry part of All or Nothing was staged.

Jerry does not attend weekly coaches meetings. He might attend a couple per season but not every day or every week. Many local media have explained that since the show aired.

Jerry likes to be on camera or in front of a microphone. Things are much different when the cameras are gone. Parcells commented about Jerry not really getting in the way of coaches and Jerry's time involved with football operations has drastically decreased since Parcells departed. Jerry World and Mini Jerry World as well as other business have dominated Jerry's time since Parcells was here.

Stopping the coach from addressing the team after they got crushed by Denver so He can address them first and tell them its OK to get embarrassed like that was not staged. It confirmed all the things we heard and feared about him for 25 years.

Even owners that don't claim to be the GM, go into the locker-room after games on occasion and blabber about stuff.

I wouldn't mind seeing them keep Moore on as a passing game coordinator or something like that who works under a seasoned OC.

Ok.

I’m sure after a blowout loss, Kraft is always shoving Belicheck aside to address the team first. Lol.

Meyer will require control with regards to choosing his own assistants. I think he'll want to retain one or both but it will be his decision.

Yes! on Callahan assuming he is not retained by the Skins.

DC: With a college coach as HC I'm not sure about a 1st time D-Coordinator. With a Ron Rivera type DC, Meyer can just focus on the big picture and on the offense.

Sean McVay as a young Head Coach and offensive guru, hired Wade Phillips as DC. Meyer is not a young HC but he would be new to the NFL.

I would like the Steve Belichick as DC idea a lot if they hired a defensive Head Coach like Ron Rivera.

But that's also far assuming Callahan no longer possesses any bad blood and grudges towards the Cowboys management who thwarted his chance
to interview for another coaching position elsewhere. The Cowboys denied such permission and i believe Callahan simply had to wait
his final year contract out to expire before he could make his move away.
many got the feeling that this didn't go over too well at all with Callahan, and this was twice he may have felt jilted by the club ( he was stripped of his
previously promoted OC role)

i believe Cowboys management may have finally learned their lesson in thinking different wiht coaches that desire to be interviewed for outside coaching positions
elsewhere. as i believe two former Cowboys coaches were allowed to move on without resistance from management (Eberflus to Indy and special teams coach
Rich Bisaccia (sp) who was allowed to depart to Raiders.

I had in mind that Bisaccia's contract was over.

Eberflus got a promotion. Teams rarely stand in the way of that.

Callahan knows that Jerry holds him in high regard. He departed because he disliked Garrett.

I'm certain that there is a good OL coach available somewhere.

I would look at the Rams OL coach for O-Coordinator if the new Head Coach can't bring one with him.

The 49ers probably have a water boy that would be an upgrade to the Cowboys OL coaching this season.

Wouldn't be surprised if Garrett doesn't land with NYG that Rivera ends up there to fix that D.

Why would Rivera would want to go to NY and play second fiddle for a clueless coach like Garrett? Heck, they might hire him as the coach instead of Garrett. Rivera is a much better coach than Garrett will ever be and I doubt Rivera will want that position if thats the case.

Its still early and I’d love to take closer looks at differences in the offenses and coaching works of Urban Meyer, Lincoln Riley, etc.

While it’s a shame on my part to bypass the defensive minded HC possibilities, the strongest feeling I continue to get is a hiring of a great offensive minded HC to continue
progress of Dak Prescott and rejuvenation of Zeke, the Cowboys two biggest cornerstone players on the team.

- My strongest preference is getting that innovative offensive mind that is strongly features similar pre-snap motion, various multi-formations, persistent pushing the ball downfield, vastly similar to offenses of Niners/Rams

- Also Meyer also has a history of experience with zeke Elliott where he has implemented zeke in several splash plays whether run or pass.
My hope is a return to more quick hitting hole runs to get zeke to the 2nd level much quicker than we are seeing nowadays.

- Columbo worked under ex-OL coach Pollack, so I’m amazed he has not preferred that zone blocking area.

- Plus the quick RB screens that used to be used often to spring zeke in many quick, open field long runs seems to get de-emphasized under Kellen Moore.

- We took way too long to finally start implementing Pollard more into the offense and on the field. That could have left a number of possible big plays off the field that could have decided
the outcome in the end, it was some games where he never received more than 3 touches.

- Should Meyer decide to keep Moore on as OC, I think Meyers could play a MUCH better hand in directing Kellen into a more effective play caller than what he was under Garrett.
Moore's greenness and lack of experience showed up in several games that cost us the winning outcome, imo. and if Garrett was a more competent game manager, he could have
played a bigger part in helping Moore's in-game adjustment.

- Plus should Meyers decide to step down per health or short lived HC role here., Moore could be more experienced and qualified prepared to take over down the road in a couple of so years.

I blame Garrett for not letting Moore call the plays that should be called. Its back to the same ole' predictable crap that we were used to with Linehan.

That is not Moore's offense. It's Garrett.

I think my preference is:

HC: Urban Meyer

DC: Maybe a veteran NFL DC (Ron Rivera...).
Somebody that can run a Hybrid 4-3 & 3-4 would be great but it has to be fundamentally sound, not that mess Rob Ryan tried to run. The Pats run a hybrid but switch back and forth on their base over the years based on their roster and possibly on how offenses are trending. They changed their base 4-3 in the Super Bowl to counter the specifics of the Rams blocking scheme. They've gone back to more 3-4 this year on 1st downs and short yardage but other downs are a hybrid.

OC: Meyer's choice from the college ranks. If his preferred choices are not available I think Kellen Moore with an HC like Meyer can become a good OC. I'm near-100% certain that Moore will be a top OC someday, somewhere but he needed a better HC as a rookie OC.

OL Coach: An extremely critical hire unless the new OC (like Shannahan in SF) is a master of OL schemes (specifically the ZBS). Columbo is good at coaching individual technique but he played in a man blocking scheme and is now trying to coach the ZBS.

If a new Head Coach just takes over the existing coaching staff, then it will likely fail.

columbo stays as OL coach. He’s done a good job since taking over.

KMoore stays as OC.

KRichard gets promoted to DC full time. Legion of boom time.

KQuinn is fired from ST.

JasonG retires as HC. Possible promotion to exec.

The OL scheme has been terrible. Columbo is lost.

This O-Line is built to zone block and I wish they would stay there. Moore will only improve when as OC when he has his own playbook. He is trying to call and tweek plays from JG index card of a playbook. This Defense needs a new scheme. We have some good players.

early possible DC candidates for " Urban Meyer " ?

- Dan Quinn
- Ron Rivera
-Gregg Williams
- Jack Del Rio
- Kris Richard
- Steve Wilks

note how these are 4-3 scheme oriented DCs
That’s a good list. BUT- Whoever the next HC is here, I certainly hope he gets to select his own assistants and not have them handed to him.

If Urban Meyer is hired, (I doubt he agrees to come here) he will probably bring in a DC he either worked with himself or trusts through some other connection. Having an “All Star” staff of coordinators doesn’t necessarily make it a good staff.

I would like to see a defensive minded coach come in. This defensive philosophy of bend don't break has run it's course. Time for some new ideas.
