They are both on the team for the next several years. We dont have to chose at all. You all should feel blessed. Not looking for a way to tear one of our players down today. Especially, since you know, he had a very good game anyway.

It's ok. You guys can be happy about a win.

As would any RB which is my point. Zeke gets all the credit for his good games but the O line gets all the blame for his bad games. he his running behind the second best run blocking line in the league, most RB’s would have similar success in that situation.
I get your train of thought and i can certainly understand it especially when you bring in the financial aspect.

I disagree that this oline should be rated 2nd best for the year. I really disagree that other backs would do what he does. He gets more than is blocked on almost every carry. What he did yesterday when he should have been stopped for small gain, no gain or a loss is the difference between 3rd & 8 and 3rd & 3.

Yes, you could put another similar back in there and just looking at stats you might say it was close. But if two or three drives a game stall because of those hidden differences, games are completely different.

I agree but the problem is this coaching staff will not get him involved like they should.

He gives a spark when he's in there but we have settled for Zeke's 3 yard and a cloud of dust football all year when this guy is fresh and ready to make an explosive play if put in some space.

I don't know what would happen other then Pollard producing at an elite level. I don't know if that would translate into Wins and Losses but I can pretty much guarantee he'd be one of the top producers at the RB position because we've seen this scenario play out time and time again with no name RB's getting production due to volume.
Yes we have. Barber did it and we paid him. And look what happened. Randle tried too. I think what you are failing to see is that Zeke wears you down. Pollard doesnt. Anyone who thinks Pollard can do what Zeke does is actually ridiculous and is agenda driven.

I don't care how tired Zeke makes the defense.

We're 7-7 with all of his wearing down he does to a defense. He's the one that looks worn down if anything.

We need explosive plays... Zeke isn't giving us those and we have a guy that is primed and ready behind him.

Stop worrying about draft status and contracts and get pollard more involved in the offense is all i'm asking.

Yup. Lets get pollard in there. So he breaks in half. Good call man. Glad you arent in charge. Explosive plays dont equate to wins. This isnt Madden.

Just bc he does it over 10 carries doesnt mean he can do it over the 23 a game that we need out of him. You're assuming a lot and we've already seen this story a few times and it didnt work the way you think.

Remember Felix? Remember Randle?

Zeke is proving how important that every down back is in 2019 isn't he?

We're 7-7 with all of his greatness. We were terrible last year until Amari got here too.. Amari got hurt this year and we can barely win a game again.

Zeke in 2016 was different. Absolute homerun hitter.

Those days are gone and we're constantly struggling for big plays.

Most RB's get hurt.. I'm glad Zeke stays healthy but his lack of explosive plays has been a problem this year for our offense.

Pollard is a 215 pound running back. He'll be fine.

It actually does.
You arent big on history are you? Just because the kid comes in to SPELL someone doesnt make him the lead dog. It just doesnt. History has proven that time and time again. Look at Kamara's fall off since Ingram left.

Hold up. Dont throw that team record in there. Being 7-7 is a team achievement/failure. That's everybody, not just Zeke/Dak/insert whoever else we're tearing down at the moment

We had losing seasons with all of Dez's greatness too. Just saying.

Kamara has been injured this year. Typical thing for RB's is to get hurt. Most do.

You said explosive plays don't correlate to wins and they actually do. Whether it's through the run or pass. You gotta get big plays somewhere.

Is Zeke overpaid? Hells yeah.
Is that contract signed and is Dallas stuck with him? Yup

At the end of the day, it is what it is. Zeke is a sunk cost. IMO, Pollard should get more carries but Zeke pounding away opens things up. If there was a lesson I got from yesterday is that Dallas plays the best when it is a running team playing with a lead. Let Dak pick his spots passing against 8 men in the box. The way it played out yesterday is just about best case for Dallas. The cowboys should look to replicate it every game.

So then explain why with all of Dez bryants explosive plays we were still 8-8 3 years in a row.

Zeke doesnt miss tackles, miss FGs, throw interceptions, stop the run, play ST, or coach the team. Our record is irrelevant to this convo.

Felix Jones was a 215lb RB. He also showed flashes. Still couldn't be the bell cow.

Doesn’t make it right. Just because the Rams were idiots doesn’t mean we have to be but Jerry’s hasn’t learned a thing over the past 25 years, he’s clearly not changing now.

Too late and he is the best out there. Now all we can do is see what happens to Dak and Cooper.

Bell cow's are overrated in 2019..

We need explosive plays and Zeke has turned into a Blue Bell Cow.

Romo injuries and bad coaching.

Zeke is not making big plays.

Pollard needs to take carries away from Zeke.
