Humans have a flight or fight response when facing danger. It’s primitive instinct. As soon as the other team goes up, the Dallas players choose flight. They give up and run with whatever possible. This team is incapable of fighting. I have yet to see this team fight back to win game. What a joke

That's a very good way to put it. Because that's exactly what I'm seeing on the field.

Says there’s a lack of accountability. If Philly wins next week, there will be a lot of drama released. I also recall that there is a division amongst the defense. Broaddus talked about it earlier this season. Some are Pro-Marinelli, and some are Pro-Richard (Jaylon and D-Law). Might be why our defense sucks and can’t do anything right.

Well the defenders will all be shocked when both are gone. Marinelli nor Richard deserve to be here next year

If there is a division, you need to side with the guys you are paying bajillions to and make them happy....Jaylon and D Law. Most everyone else is just a moving part at this point. And unfortunately, Jaylon looks to be the Tyrone Crawford of this decade.

How the East was lost sounds like how the West was lost...Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians.

A hallmark of Garrett management is muddled responsibility, leading to muddled accountability. By design.

Almost same as eagles, not an excuse at all.
That was an addition to the point that I made saying the offense did not help the defense out in this game they played 36 and 1/2 minutes of the game which I didn't have that information at the time I looked it up why I added it but you cannot expect a defense to keep going back out there repeatedly after three-and-outs and do their job well tires you out and it's kind of disheartening I mean they held the Eagles to 17 points I think that's pretty good when they're at home

That held a badly depleted Eagles team to 17pts, that's not something to be bragging about especially since the Eagles mistakes kept the game from being much worse.
All I was saying I was responding to the thread where the defense wasn't that bad considering the offense gave them no help but you are right and either way it's pathetic

I hate when people always reference the time of possession. Yes the offense sucked but the defense couldn't get off the field on third down against an offense being held together by duct tape.
Well I'm not a big top fan either but I just wondered how much time our defense was on the field now you're right it doesn't matter as much as everybody thinks it does but when your offense repeatedly hands fall back to defense example first half with first four possessions being three-and-out does not get the defense time to breathe and they have enough issues as it is and it just magnified those issues yesterday

The defense was on the field for 36 minutes yesterday.
36 plus some change thank you for letting me know that usually I can find it easy but we had trouble finding it that's not as bad as 40 minutes but when the offense gives you no help absolutely and you repeatedly being put back on the field after 4 for an outside believe in the first half it's hard to Come Back and keep an offense down that was clearly beating you to begin with

You cannot say this enough.

This is and always has been a case with the Cowboys.

You have a caste system. Made guys. And the not so made.

And that probably prohibits a younger player from asserting themselves.

Funny thing is, it is all coming to a head right now. You have guys like Elliott who were made ahead of Prescott or Cooper. You got another made guy who nobody expected in Collins. Then there are more guys coming up.

It is all about contracts in Dallas. That is how you earn street cred in that locker room.

The defense was not good. But I agree the offense was by far the main reason for the loss. With all the resources dedicated to that side of the ball there is no excuse to not score a single touchdown. Even when they did get good field position they gave it right back on three and outs.

But I give a absolutely no credit to the defense. They are immune to making any type of play. And u can't let that banged up offense gobble up 150 yards in their first two possessions.

What you really need to wait for is all the vultures ("journalists") acting like they suddenly have some deep insights and knowledge that they just chose to sit on even though 100% of them would immediately break any news like this if they had it. This is the base of journalism. Don't buy in guys. Most of you aren't smarter than this, but I hope youre better than it.

Jason, or any Cowboys head coach, only has as much authority as Jerry allows him.

If Jerry had a problem with it (lack of accountability) he'd have fired Garrett years ago.
Some would say the lack of accountability is because of Jerry. In fact, that's kinda what you said in the first sentence.

A story was on the Herd a couple of weeks ago...I still find hard to believe. Garrett would actually cut out all the negative plays in a game tape review...because he didn't want to hurt team moral.

I'm like..... ***???? :omg:

How are players supposed to get better...if they don't know they are making a mistake to begin with? If this story is true....then it would explain a lot why this team doesn't get better. They don't even acknowledge their mistakes....Jesus what a bad idea. :banghead:

David Helman on the break today insinuated something very similar.

I am paraphrasing this but he said something along the lines “I think there’s been a disconnect mainly on the defense, but also bleeding into the offense. And I think over the next weeks and months people say start speaking in more detail about it”

I've been saying it all season...the problems w/ this team comes directly from the defense...and the offense suffers. Time of possession is a big factor.
