goff has been dog crap this season. Absolute trash.

perhaps you should worry about that.

He also needs his coach to read defenses for him. It’s rather hilarious.

Goff Sucks but he doesn’t have anywhere near the pass protection Dak has had this year nor the running game. Gurley is a shell of his former self.

Unfortunately for him. It’s probably not going to get any better anytime soon.

They don’t have their next 2, first round picks and they are in rough shape with their salary cap.

All things considered I would rather be in the Cowboys shoes, roster wise. For sure.

that 100 million extension this year for Goff was stupid, especially considering how he ended the season last year, particularly the Sb. He was having issues before the playoffs as well.

the only thing that makes sense is the Rams were planning for the new CBA.

Agreed.

I think once teams caught into the fact that Mcvay was helping him pre snap, defenses have found ways to exploit it.

Now, Mcvay is a good coach. So perhaps he will find a way to counter the adjustments that defenses have made. He can at least play that chess game. Unlike the cowboys current coach.

DAK...on the other hand played atrocious. Here you are asking for 40 millions a year and your sorry butt can't beat an Eagles team with 2nd and 3rd stringers on defense? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? You are not elite, you are barely average if that even true. Where the hell did you get the ego to think you are worth more than 30 millions a year? Why should you even be the highest paid QB in the league? You haven't done jack. Goff took the Rams to the Superbowl, Carson Wentz had an MVP year and would have won it. You ~(Dak)~ weren't even good enough to be pick no earlier than the 4th round. The audacity of these athletes put a foul odor in my mouth.

Since I'm an outsider with an neutral view, anyone who think Dak is a top 10 QB as shown from @erod thread, let me ask you this question.

How many games do you think the Bengals, Dolphins, Giants, Commanders would win with Dak as QB? Dak has one of the best roster in the NFL, the best O-line, a premiere RB, and the Cowboys currently have a losing record. Hmm...think about that. Sure Garrett is a bad coach, but Daks throws awful balls. An elite coach can draw up the best game-plan but its still up to Daks to execute.

You think anyone else in the entire league would want him especially in the range of 30+ millions? Any GM that sign Dak should be FIRE IMMEDIATELY!!! Unless you're Jerry himself :muttley:

Last week against us, McVay had a play design where he had Gurley around the slot, and a straight path to the end zone, like 30 yards, and Goff put it at his feet. It was just like a five yard throw and nobody was around Gurley.

Even if he plays well one half, he can completely blow it and commit crucial TOs the next. It’s like night and day.

the only young QBs that look the part are Mahomes and probably Lamar, but I haven’t really watched Lamar so I can’t say. I need to wait until next year as well to see his coaches prepare for this new Ravens offense.

That’s true. There’s no scheming around that. The cowboys DL was getting him off his spot. His accuracy dips badly when he has to slide in the pocket.

Lamar has been really effective in the unique offense that Roman and Harbaugh have built for him.

I’m sure defenses will adjust (they won’t pull the wool over Belichek’s eyes again like they did earlier this year.)


That being said, Lamar’s skill set is so well rounded that if he keeps playing at this level, they will be a tough offense to stop no matter what IMO.

Lamar is rich man’s Mike Vick. Remember years ago people would ask. “What would Vick be like if he could read defenses and was more accurate”. We are now finding out with Lamar. IMO.

I should add. Mahomes is a far better pure passer than Lamar.

But with the totality if Lamar’s running ability. He just needs to be a good passer, not elite, that his total skill set makes the offense incredibly hard to stop. I think.

But then again, he is also on a team with one of the best head coaches in the game and one of the best front offices putting players around him. So he isn’t going to have to do it all on his own anytime soon IMO.
