This is a Dak Prescott thread mate and to your question, we have seen what he is capable off when he is playing at his very best. Goff is just very inconsistent but his potential is clearly there. I wouldn't have pay him but the Rams are gambling on the new CBA. But when Goff is at his best, he is elite and very accurate.

We had an amazing game-plan against Seattle and McVay scrap that versus the Cowboys because McVay is cocky and doesn't feel the need to use the best game-plan against team who he don't consider a challenge. And he used the same gameplan he used against Seattle versus the 49ers and we should have beat them. Putting up 31 points against the 49ers elite defense is no joke. McVay this year has regress, Goff has been the same. Went from top 5 to #32 O-line and no running game is a significant downgrade from last year.

DAK...on the other hand played atrocious. Here you are asking for 40 millions a year and your sorry butt can't beat an Eagles team with 2nd and 3rd stringers on defense? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? You are not elite, you are barely average if that even true. Where the hell did you get the ego to think you are worth more than 30 millions a year? Why should you even be the highest paid QB in the league? You haven't done jack. Goff took the Rams to the Superbowl, Carson Wentz had an MVP year and would have won it. You ~(Dak)~ weren't even good enough to be pick no earlier than the 4th round. The audacity of these athletes put a foul odor in my mouth.

Since I'm an outsider with an neutral view, anyone who think Dak is a top 10 QB as shown from @erod thread, let me ask you this question.

How many games do you think the Bengals, Dolphins, Giants, Commanders would win with Dak as QB? Dak has one of the best roster in the NFL, the best O-line, a premiere RB, and the Cowboys currently have a losing record. Hmm...think about that. Sure Garrett is a bad coach, but Daks throws awful balls. An elite coach can draw up the best game-plan but its still up to Daks to execute.

You think anyone else in the entire league would want him especially in the range of 30+ millions? Any GM that sign Dak should be FIRE IMMEDIATELY!!! Unless you're Jerry himself :muttley:

What the heck you think has been happening with the Dallas Cowboys since Parcells was ran out of town? Winning because of coaching or talent or losing because of coaching or talent?

Let Dak Prescott go to free agency and he will get the same extraordinary contract that all the other top QBs get and will win like he has done since pee wee league and with a better coach, he will win big. The GM that signs Dak and has an actual NFL quality coach and NFL quality OC will be in the Conference Championship game unlike the Frisco Jonesboys.

There’s no universe in which Goff hasn’t been a complete bum this season, but thanks for playing!

It’s pretty easy when the QB sucks and is holding the team back with his inconsistent play that goes back to his college years.

I never said I don’t personally like him. I don’t really care about that, because I don’t interact with him nor do I get bitten by his pit bulls that he, for some reason, doesn’t lock up in his home and lets them roam around biting neighbors..

They have explained how its calculated. You may not like that you don't have the exact weights to each category but the fact that it weighs game situations more than garbage time stats is a fact.
Its also a fact that this QBR stat isnt biased in favor of anyone. So we now have the old QB rating and QBR both looking very positively for Dak.

I guess faceless internet message board jockey should be believed over both of these statistical measurements. Oh yea and go ahead and compare his career win loss record, or come from behind career victories.

So are you routing openly for Dak when you are sitting and watching the cowboys games? Because based on the bashing it seems you have taken such a strong position towards Dak sucking that it seems like you would have a hard time routing for yourself to be wrong.

When? Provide the proof. When I said Dak leaves yards off the field with his inaccuracy how is that related to QBR? When I said he rolls into pressure, how. is that QBR..

It explains what goes into the formula.
The problem is we have 2 QB rating systems and Dak is excellent in both.
So its not like we can debate which is better and which we should use. Take your pick. They both say he has played very well.
Can you find one where he doesnt rank well?

So explain how EPA is calculated... hoe do they determine difficulty of play?

How does QBR take into account completion percentage getting blown out against prevent defense?
 
The reality is you have no clue how QBR is calculated, because ESPN doesn’t release the exact formulas for how they calculate QBR. They just say they adjust for this or that and they don’t rely on watching the actual film, it’s based on a video analyst tracking system.
