Thoughts on what we should do with Amari?

He made 2 probowls in Oakland in 3 years. So that itself is excellent.
I guess Khalil Mack wasnt too excellent since the kicked him to the curb also.......

Both guys were sent away because Gruden has a fragile ego and couldnt stand that both guys were leaders in the locker room.

So in 5 years he has been to 3 probowls. Sounds like a keeper.

Leader? Please. Amari isn’t a leader :lmao2:. Michael Gallup is more of a leader than Amari. A dude that pouts on the sidelines and is benched because of his poor play on a crucial down is not a leader, nor as excellent a player as you make him seem. Then again, you like Dak, so I presume you settle for mediocrity, much like our owner. We have to stop this narrative. I get the draft is a crapshoot, but you have to take that chance. Our window is closing (as if it even opened). You gotta take risks in life to win big. Settling for average is what makes makes like miserable and average for most people. The same will happen to this team if they sign Despicable Dak and Average Amari

You failed pretty hard on that last post huh?
Saying he wasnt very good in Oakland because they traded him....haha.... I noticed you ran far away from that one once I brought up Mack....lol

How much time have you spent in the locker room? How much do you know about his leadership among his past and present team mates.
You are the guy that launches into these non stop character assasinations and yet you have not an ounce of evidence anything you say is anything more than the ramblings of a lunitic that uses Amari's name in his handle.

Appears Cooper and all the recent 2nd contract players are living in OP head........LOL from his signature to how they dress to their contracts. Funny thing is the player aren't going anywhere ......Stephen just confirmed Daks getting his deal, no way in hell they're letting Cooper walk w/o getting or at least trying to get more return on the 1st round investment, Zeke, Jaylon and DLaw are all already signed.

Mack hasn’t been doing too well this year either, according to my sources and stats. He’s overpaid as well. What Chicago is seeing is Oakland Mack as well. A quitter. But this isn’t about Chicago, this is about Dallas and Amari.

How much time have YOU spent in the locker room? You know as much as I and could be wrong as much as I. Do NOT use that argument against me unless you are confirming yourself as a player or janitor for this team.

What about all these people agreeing with me that Amari should walk? Are they committing “player assassination” as well? No. It’s an opinion. I’m shelling out my opinions on the team. They aren’t assassinations. Settling for mediocrity on a franchise that hasn’t won big in 25 years is assassination.

I like Cooper. Healthy, he's a no brainer to bring back. Problem is, he can't stay healthy and you can't give an injury prone WR a long term, high dollar contract.
Especially when a defender rams your knee with his helmet.

Some of these posts are absolutely doltishness.

Stephen has said Dak is getting a deal for years. Where is the deal? Actions speak louder than words. If he was so sure on Dak, he would’ve signed him by now, but he hasn’t. They probably will try to trade cooper for something. Maybe a 2nd round pick or something. We don’t know if the players aren’t going anywhere or not. I’m sure you said the same thing about Beasley, Demarco murray, and Dez Bryant, yet all of them are gone. This FO can shock every now and then, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they shocked this coming offseason.

I think your backed into a corner to sign him because of the first round pick we gave up to get him.
That's probably why he will be back. The good news is his asking price has gone downhill steadily this year.

If the Cowboys to re-sign him, there needs to be a 'dropped pass' clause. Make him pay back a certain amount for each pass dropped.

He just showed us he isn’t to be counted on in big road games. That can’t be your #1 then....that position role must be a go to guy at all times. If they do keep,it can’t be what the asking price was previously...a lot of these guys stock took a dump with that game. That’s on them...
throwing and catching is not the hardest thing in the world, but they sure make it so.

Negotiations take time. Dak is following his agent's advice of being patient even as guaranteed millions await. Do the Cowboys need to be convinced on Dak?

No, they answered this question a long time ago. In training camp, the Cowboys offered Dak a contract that would have paid him among the top five quarterbacks in average per year ($30.5 million).

In these kinds of deals, we don't know the breakdown of the bonus money or guaranteed money, whether it's a full guarantee or for injury.

If the Cowboys were willing to make that type of commitment earlier to Dak, then they must be sold um "interested", and it is safe to assume the Cowboys have increased the offer they made back in training camp, too. Just a gut feeling.

He was dealing with injuries long before that. He's been dealing with planters fasciitis since his college days. This year he's also had knee and ankle problems all year. Have you had your head buried in the sand all year? The guy was injury prone with the Raiders and he's been injured a lot here. You don't pay part time players...

I'll give you a like but never mine.......it's becoming more and more obvious you have no idea what you're talking about. How are "SURE" I said the same thing about Beasley, Murray and Dez. Facts/proof please.......not your speculative BS.

BTW....how do you trade and get "maybe" a 2nd round pick for a free agent??????

It'll be interesing to see what happens. Hopefully it's not a mistake like zeke, dlaw and jaylon were.

I see a lot of speculation going on with him around these parts. Some argue he’s injured and isn’t playing the same, some say he’s reverting back to his Oakland form. What do you guys think we should do? We have two tags this year I heard. Do we tag him and see if he returns back to 2018 Amari next year? IMO, he shouldn’t get paid this year. He had a few good games, but wasn’t nearly as effective as he was in 2018. Plus, his attitude just isn’t right for this team. I like non-diva WR’s, but we need dogs on this team. We need emotion on this team. He isn’t fit for this team right now.

I honestly want to trade for JuJu Smith Shuster or OBJ. They are both emotional guys. Both have a little dog in them. Both are good WR’s. Both could bring a needed fire to this team. OBJ I’m a little cautious on because he’d really buy into the country club culture, but I think he’d thrive here with his diva ness. Hopefully he can get some of our players mad, hyped up or emotional in some way.

JuJu is emotional. We need guys like that. He cares for his team and teammates. Always looking to get better. He’s cheap as of right now as well. Also may be willing to take a cheaper contract or we can tag him as well.

Thoughts?
First, get him a accurate qb who reads defenses well. Second, resign him and tell him to drop 7 pounds.

do him a favor, let him walk, this team wil need at least 2 seasons. maybe more depending on the coach and what JJ and SJ do.
