My thoughts on Rayne Dakota Prescott

I'll say one thing.... while i do agree with the assessments that he isn't a 35-40 million dollar quarterback i would still love to see dak under a great offensive mind. Thats why lincoln riley is going to be in play as a head coaching candidate for us.

Look at what the ravens are doing with lamar, or andy reid with mahomes, look at what sean peyton did to revive brees career. Even the Brady's and Aaron Rodger's of the world have been surrounded by excellent coaching.

I think dak has shown he has the ability to win games. Is he a "super bus driver"? Maybe he is, but with the right coach, a competent coach that could be good enough.

Use your common sense as if good coaching could produce Elite QB as the above names the NFL would have 32 Elite QB.
Coaching can fine-tune and improve a QB talents who has the God-given TALENT base, unfortunately, Dak does not qualify as his talent base both physically and mentally is for the dogs!
 
I don't think there is any real doubt in the Cowboy's minds that Dak is their guy. Just like there was no real doubt in their minds that Zeke was their guy. They'll get something done with Dak in the off-season. Dak and Zeke are the Star Power that fuels their corporation.

Besides. Everybody says the problems with the Cowboys is all about coaching. That's only part of it. But whatever. We're probably going to find out if it really is true soon enough.
 
I don’t care about what Wentz or other QBs do myself,other than appreciate them football fan wise,but Dak has some real limitations holding him back. Red zone is a hard nut he’s seriously struggling with,a problem I do think he’ll fix,but the internal clock where he’s missing wide open guys or not hitting in stride probably not. And he doesn’t raise his team up enough,although he did keep them floating for awhile so it’s not all without merit. But he works...he improved some things last off season so there’s credit there. Dallas will likely sign him,I’d rather have a tag just to kick the tires one more time. I’m not sold enough now after this year to feel good about a long term deal for any of our players. How can you though after the season they had?
 
Dak has become a real problem! He isnt good enough to pay top 10 money to but he wants top 4 money. Dak is probably worth about18- 20 mil as a starter but thats not gonna fly with him and he thinks he is worth 30+. People will say well what about Goff and Wentz. Both those guys have considerably more arm talent than Dak. Now the division is catching up because I think Daniel Jones is going to be a better QB than Dak. I only wish that Haskins was playing this weekend so people could see how he is getting better and has a big arm.

Yes, IIRC, the Dak had three games this year that was worse than the Philly game. After the first three games which was against very poor defenses, he has been bad and very inconsistent. His play still matches his scouting reports from college.

From my understanding, the WRs are starting to have a problem with Dak and his poor accuracy. In response, the WRs are not giving a lot of effort when running routes because the pass is not going to be accurate anyway. It has been reported by several sources.

OP are you even aware that Dak basically didn’t practice all week? The real scare for you is how much better Wentz looked against us than Goff

I love when someone posts an out of touch with reality post where they pretend they are the owner or GM or coach of the team.
This is awesome.
Dude we are just fans watching grown *** men play a kids game simply for out entertainment. How is it more enjoyable to hold everyone to this perfection standard? The only thing you are doing is setting yourself up for misery. How in the hell can you hold someone else to a standard of greatness when most likely you are not even holding yourself to this same standard. And to apply such silly standards on a form of entertainment just makes you look like you haven't even been able to achieve "good enough" in your own life.

I like all the cowboys players. Why shouldnt I? Tell me how having such disdain for my favorite sports entertainment is going to make this more entertaining for me?

maybe Dak is ‘good enough’ to continue being the QB of the cowboys. He’s probably even ‘good enough’ to lead a loaded roster to the playoffs. Is he ‘good enough’ to get an extension? I guess, sure.

Or you can do what KC did when they told Alex Smith that Good Enough was no longer good enough. Baltimore said the same to Flacco. And now those two teams are going to conquer the NFL for the next decade.

Dak either is the golden child or he’s not. Is he? If not, then the team should be looking for better. Winning championships after being bad for a few years is worlds better than just 9-7, 10-6, 7-9 on and on.

I guess Nick Foles and Goff are golden children also since they both were in the last 2 superbowls.
Let's add Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, and Colin Kappernick, Eli Manning and Flacco also since these guys all won or played in superbowls in the last few years.

I hope you see how shallow your argument is right? How did Mahommes do in the superbowl last year? QB's alone are not what determine superbowls. This is 13 year old Madden kids logic.

Dak will not be the reason we make a superbowl or the reason we don't. This is the ultimate team sport and coaching will be what determines how far we go.

No, Goff and Foles were ‘good enough’ to get to the super bowl on a loaded team. Philly said good enough isn’t good enough, LA didn’t. You think Goff’s contract is going to work out for them?

Dak is good enough to make and win a SB. If Foles is then Dak is. If Eli is then Dak is.
Facts get in the way of your anti Dak bias.
