No resolution on Garrett yet

I swear Jerry is just stringing all of along to build everything up to a crescendo. Every day nothing happens the more eyes around the world focus on the star and Jerry Jones. He knows what he's doing here to get ratings.

He's actually being dumped on and ridiculed nationally. Not sure thats the kind of attention Jerry covets.

I think it’s almost certain that he’s done here as the HC... but I wouldn’t be shocked if Jerry made him GM.
It’s a win win then for Jerry... he keeps his ginger Jesus while at the same time bringing in a GM like people have been telling him for over 20 years.
Yes it’s an unlikely scenario, it just wouldn’t shock me (nothing would with the Cowboys anymore)

I actually think that is what is happening. If this was going to be a clean parting of ways, there would be no reason to drag this out longer.

This franchise. Jerry simply cannot admit a mistake and make the necessary changes. He still thinks Garrett is elite. LOL.

They are basically trying to figure out how they can bring him back. That's plainly obvious at this point. They are looking for ways to justify his retention while also attempting to sell the fans on a new plan/strategy that will bring different results than the previous 10 years.

You can't really make up the dysfunction that exists in this franchise, all caused by Jerry.

100% fact. They’re just advising a plan to appease fans while also holding onto Jerry’s favorite son.

My theory is that Jerry is trying to twist Jason's arm into staying on in some capacity. Jason probably wants to see if he has any coaching options first. So, in typical Jerry fashion, we will let someone else dictate the timetable. JG is going to do to Jerry what Jerry did to Romo. He's going to string Jerry along until all the best coaching options are gone. We will end up with some retread coach with a staff of whatever he can scrape together.

Rivera isn't a sexy pick but it shows more competency than the Jones have shown thus far.

Jerry should have been ready to move on the moment we didn't make the playoffs. It was clear over the last month that there was a real possibility we would miss the playoffs. At that point, an owner worth his salt and not some moronic egomaniac like Jerry would have made up his mind and laid out a clear plan/process to move on.

But nope. Jerry can't quit Jason. Maybe he'll have a come to Jesus moment tomorrow but right now, I firmly believe while Jerry knows he probably should find himself a new HC, he still thinks there is a small chance Garrett can win and Jerry wants to find out if he can...............

I don't know that there is any doubt Garrett is staying. There's no way it takes two days to let the guy go. I honestly believe its just a matter of them discussing the details of who else will be on the staff and how they will be presenting this **** show for the world to see.

No way it takes this long to essentially let a guy go.

The worst possible outcome is here and its simply a matter of it being put out to the media. Garrett isnt going anywhere.

That is precisely what's happening right now.

#1. Jerry will have to die before he replaces himself as GM. So there's no promotion.
#2. If Garrett wasn't coming back, Jerry would've let him know by now so he could find another job. He wouldn't screw him over by needlessly waiting.

There is no logical conclusion for the delay outside of complete and utter incompetence or Garrett is coming back and they are making a plan to position the decision as anything other than a colossal piece of **** decision. Which is the same thing, I guess.
