No resolution on Garrett yet

Jerry appears to be torn. It’s obvious he doesn’t want to move on from Garrett. Hope he doesn’t decide to give him one more year. Jerry has the entire fanbase sitting on pins and needles.

If this happens the fan base has to respond.

Walk away. Just for the year.

LOL.

This franchise. Jerry simply cannot admit a mistake and make the necessary changes. He still thinks Garrett is elite. LOL.

They are basically trying to figure out how they can bring him back. That's plainly obvious at this point. They are looking for ways to justify his retention while also attempting to sell the fans on a new plan/strategy that will bring different results than the previous 10 years.

You can't really make up the dysfunction that exists in this franchise, all caused by Jerry.

This.
I'm thinking the sticking point, if there is one, is Garrett wants to remain as HC but Jerry wants him to be "GM" which is of course a non-position really, and Garrett knows it.
The longer this drags out the more apparent it is that Garrett stays. It takes practically no time at all to fire a coach, Jerry just can't do it.
Remember about 24 hours ago when 95% of us thought Garrett was a goner? There really is no logical reason to not fire Garrett but it sure looks like he's going nowhere.

I’ve had pride being a fan of this team since 1977 , 42 years. I’ve never been embarrassed until this year, it’s become humiliating to root for this hot pile of garbage that Jerry has constructed on the sheer massiveness of his ego and his inability to admit he’s wrong .

Just embarrassing on every level.

I’m in the same boat... fan since SB 12. Agree with your thoughts...

Just reported on :espn:. There is still no definitive resolution in Dallas. Todays meeting was apparently just a meeting. The problems with this organization are now laid bare for all to see. What a joke!
They've been pretty much out in the open for a long time they do a weekly radio show on 105.3 The Fan and anytime they can get media attention AKA Jerry Jones

That won’t happen. A few fans may walk away but not nearly enough to where empty seats will appear at the stadium. Attending a Cowboys game is an event regardless of how the team is playing or who the HC is. An offseason usually heals many of the wounds fans suffer from a disappointing season. Jerry isn’t going to make drastic changes to how he operates the team unless empty seats do start to appear at the stadium and the Cowboys brand begins to lose some of its luster. The only reason he brought Bill Parcells in years ago was to gain funding for a new stadium. He admitted that in a drunken YouTube rant that was posted on this board several years ago.

Hard to gain support for a new stadium fielding 5-11 teams. Jerry wants to win but making money is his top priority. When he bought the Cowboys in 89 he had to pay back a 140+ million dollar debt and to do that the team needed to win. He brought in a great coach and allowed him to be the unofficial GM. Jerry said the day he bought the Cowboys that we must win and we will win! Jerry is a great businessman and despite how unsuccessful the Cowboys have been the past 20+ years the team never loses its popularity.

The stadium continues to sell out for every home game and merchandise sales continue to skyrocket. Jerry gets richer every year. I believe he will move on from Garrett because he knows that it’s not good business for his team to continue this up-and-down roller coaster ride year after year with the same HC. It’s sending a bad message to the fans who support the team. It makes it look as if he doesn’t care.
