No resolution on Garrett yet

Just reported on :espn:. There is still no definitive resolution in Dallas. Todays meeting was apparently just a meeting. The problems with this organization are now laid bare for all to see. What a joke!
u have that right this org is a joke a laughing stock they are no longer the dallas cowboys

We did not make the playoffs but all the sports shows are camped out at the Star. What did the Bill Parcels say back in the day, you have been sucked.

This won't be resolved until after the Superbowl I bet. Jerrah needs the spotlight at all times. At least we won't hear him speak for a while.

It’s simply a prime example of why people that work FOR you should not become like family. Jerry’s relationship with his head coach should be that of an employee subject to being fired for poor performance at any time Jerry feels like it.

Jerry appears to be torn. It’s obvious he doesn’t want to move on from Garrett. Hope he doesn’t decide to give him one more year. Jerry has the entire fanbase sitting on pins and needles.

My theory is that Jerry is trying to twist Jason's arm into staying on in some capacity. Jason probably wants to see if he has any coaching options first. So, in typical Jerry fashion, we will let someone else dictate the timetable. JG is going to do to Jerry what Jerry did to Romo. He's going to string Jerry along until all the best coaching options are gone. We will end up with some retread coach with a staff of whatever he can scrape together.

Maybe the plan is going to be to make him a sit down coach since the walk around thing didn't work out so well. Maybe we can get him a nice couch on the sideline, one with a drink holder and a recliner in it? That sounds nice.

I swear Jerry is just stringing all of along to build everything up to a crescendo. Every day nothing happens the more eyes around the world focus on the star and Jerry Jones. He knows what he's doing here to get ratings.

LOL.

This franchise. Jerry simply cannot admit a mistake and make the necessary changes. He still thinks Garrett is elite. LOL.

They are basically trying to figure out how they can bring him back. That's plainly obvious at this point. They are looking for ways to justify his retention while also attempting to sell the fans on a new plan/strategy that will bring different results than the previous 10 years.

You can't really make up the dysfunction that exists in this franchise, all caused by Jerry.

Are they working out the details of a new deal? Planning on announcing it tomorrow, when people are either hung over or with family and freinds.

Real compliants wouldn't start until January 2nd, and by then fans are so disgusted they might not even choose to talk/care about it.

Jerry happy, problem solved, thief in the night done.

Jerry BETTER have an ace up his sleeve that he’s just keeping hidden. If he’s truly stalling here with Garrett and has no new coach in waiting, it’d be a new low - even for Jerry

I knew this wasn't going to get resolved until 2020 at the earliest.
But why? It is in the best interest of the team to get a new coach as soon as possible. Even insiders have no idea who the next coach might be.

I think it’s almost certain that he’s done here as the HC... but I wouldn’t be shocked if Jerry made him GM.
It’s a win win then for Jerry... he keeps his ginger Jesus while at the same time bringing in a GM like people have been telling him for over 20 years.
Yes it’s an unlikely scenario, it just wouldn’t shock me (nothing would with the Cowboys anymore)
