At this point it is all speculation as I don't trust Jerrah's mind. Today is new year's eve and alcohol will be involved, that makes the night even more critical. Once he drank and Jimmy left, today he drinks and I am not sure what happens. Let's just hope he passes out before he makes someone sign our team's future away.

IMO, if Garrett isn’t re-signed he’ll likely look for another coaching job. But there’ll always be a gig for him in Jerry’s world.

Good news is, JG hasn't been extended, and he won't. If they wanted him back they would've made it clear on Monday after the first meeting. But that meeting was probably all taken up by square dancing.

The meeting today was probably taken up by the tango, with JJ offering to bump JG up into the Executive Suite. JG might've been very intrigued, until he mentioned that the job title most likely to keep him in Dallas was the title of GM. JJ, of course, pulled violently back. And probably after a minute or two, when cooler heads prevailed, and JJ was adjourning today's meeting, he mumbled something like:

"Jason, we know, and appreciate you, and we've known through the years how invaluable your skill set is unrelated to the head coaching position, and uh, so it would be through my own personal request based on our relationship through the years, and pertaining to what I know is in your heart, which, of course, is to stay with the Cowboys, and uh, let me also say this, that I do understand what you would like to do relative to the GM position in our organization, though it does pain me to say that, I, uh, cannot in good conscience relinquish my title for obvious reasons as we spoke about yesterday, but Jason, we would still very much like you to serve in a much higher capacity relative to where it would bring you in close contact with the players, but, of course, not in any coaching capacity, at which point I will tell you that if you accept my highly distinguished offer of a job title that mirrors my own, I will personally give you the use of my yacht for 12 months, the use of my helicopter for 12 months, and the use of an Island I am going to buy in February that will be named, THE DALLAS COWBOYS, and that, Jason, is on top of a multi-million dollar salary. What do you say? Can you give us an answer by Thursday, son?"

I'm confused. (And scared) What job is he talking about? That's the answer I need by Thursday.

there’s literally not one fan in the world that has a clue of what Jerry is going to do. I think only Jerry, Stephen, and Jason are in the know (and possibly someone that they may have already hired) anyone else is guessing

Probably a lot since the decision makers in this organization lack the guts to make a move and progress forward.

You can make a quick move with the level of class they feel they owe Garrett for whatever reason.

They seem to not understand that fact.

The Panthers gave Ron Rivera a classy send off. It can be done. And that was in-season.

What they didn't do is run their fan base (read: customers) through some idiotic show.

This is just another display of how Jerry Jones does not care about the fan base.

He does. Not. Care.

He is going to do things the way he wants it and how he wants to.

And please, don't be fooled that this is all about Garrett's dignity.

This is about him playing the relevance card.

Gut feeling is that I don’t think the next Coach will be one of the names we’ve kicked around and certainly not a College Coach (Jerry ain’t got time for that).

Brace yourself for some former NFL HC retread outside of the few being mentioned. I can just feel it.

He may be letting Garrett put out feelers to see what interest there is so he can leave with his head high
Only jerry knows and by this late on New Year’s Eve he’s probably past talking already
