There is so much inaccuracy in this post that it's not even funny. The Boys need to get back their Offensive Line dominance which they had during the 1994 season when they went 12-4.
Bill Callahan was the Offensive Line coach then and he would be an excellent head coach. He is now the interim Head Coach for the Skins and if he is not rehired by them Jerry should bring him in as head coach.
Dak isn’t good enough for anybody to hate on him so spare me. To hate on someone they normally have something you’re envious of. His qb skill set isn’t good so what’s to hate on? His postgame press conferences? That’s for you not me. As the qb you get too much credit and blame it isn’t about hate. I know you boomers just learned the word hate and want to overuse it but my last statement is the truth. When he was playing good I gave him props now that the season is over he gets clowned. It’s that simple and the numbers against teams we would face in the playoffs for the most part agree with that. I’ll give you the Vikings and first Eagles game. Its not about loving Dak. The reality is the offense was the least of the teams problems. When the defense causes turnovers we when going away. The defense played two good games this year against the Saints and Patriots. They failed to make critical stops against the Vikings, Eagles, Packers, Jets, and Bears. Stop hating on Dak and see what the real issues are.
You forgot Tom LandryDel Rio and Rivera would both be mistakes, but of course he should reach out to Saban. Not sure how he can reach out to Sean Payton and it seems like that was attempted when he was available and he passed.
We need a top NCAA coach.
I would be happy with Saban, Riley, Stoops, Meyer, or Swiney.
I think going with a coordinator who is totally unproven would be a mistake at this point in the franchise's history.
The only two coaches that the Cowboys have hired with no HC experience have been complete failures: Campo and Garrett.
Garrett knew he was gone at least a month ago. And our next HC is very likely coaching a playoff team and not allowed to have formal discussions with Cowboys but has a handshake deal.
These things are done in back channels way in advance, they don't roll out of bed one day and pick names out of a hat.
well Daks best statistical year, 2 1k wrs, a 1400 yard RB ,and the #1 ranked offense.. I know its somewhat skewed taking stats that were mostly compiled against bad competition but its still a fact.. KM wasn't the one dropping passes, throwing iNts, fumbling, getting untimely drive killings penaltys, missing FGs, or missing wide open WRs in the 2nd half of the Philly game..
for a first year young OC thats pretty good resume r for 2019..
he had some bumps along the way but Jerry sees all that and may not want to rock the boat offensively..
I want a full purge cut out all the disease but it can happen here..
It's strange to hear Gosselin talk about the importance of defense and turnovers when he's done nothing to get Chuck Howley into the Hall of Fame.Goose suggested going after a defensive minded HC. He still believes that a team needs a good defense to win championships or at least one that can create turnovers.
A lot of the offense was in garbage time too. The new HC needs to be able to pick his own OC. Anybody that has coached under Garrett is tainted.
doesnt matter this team on a hole needs a full oil change not just the oil and leave the old filter..no patchwork in philosphys...have it all be new and fresh to all players..We had the number 1 offense.
need to find himself a real QB though. Was just going to mention that. Washington certainly has its issues, but no question Rivera will get that defense going. They have some talent there for him to play with.
Del Rio and Rivera would both be mistakes, but of course he should reach out to Saban. Not sure how he can reach out to Sean Payton and it seems like that was attempted when he was available and he passed.

I assume you mean Gosslin
Gossage is the ex-Yankee closer - and current nutcase.
WHY? Why an NCAA guy? This is the freaking NFL. Why is everyone in love with these guys out of the college ranks? The rules are so much different. The rosters and practice schedules are so much different. Saban sucked as an NFL HC, look at the mess the Cardinals are. Meyers system doesn't work in the NFL. Jackson is going to be exposed in the playoffs, just like last year.
JJ needs to find an EXPERIENCE NFL guy. Someone who has been around the league for a bit, can lead these young players, can talk from experience and Rivera would have been a great pick, Del Rio wouldn't be a bad pick.
And if I'm going Yankees reliever, I'm going with MarianoI get all my cowboys news from Ron Guidry personally.
Being a head coach is about having a feel for the game and being able to put together an organization. It's about knowing how to work with people. Rivera and Del Rio are examples of people who have failed time and time again.
Saban sucked in a very short amount of time. So did Belicheck and Carroll.
Failed time and again? Not sure I am buying that. Rivera took a team saddled with a horrible QB to the NFL Championship game which was lost primarily because of that player. Del Rio took over a couple of bad franchises that had poor QBs and managed to do more with them than his predecessor both times.
Really the bottom line is I don't think this franchise is going to get a real HC as long as the Owner/President/GM/tinkerer is JJ. When you cannot select your own coordinators or position coaches how much control do you really have. It's why Jimmy left, it's probably got a lot to do with why Parcells left too.
