I dont think this hire is as sexy as Urban or some of the other stud college coaches, however Im starting to hope its the direction we go.

Roman has done tremendous work with qbs less talented than Dak, and he puts an emphasis on the run game.

I dont know enough about his approach to be 100% sold though. Is he a no nonsense hard nosed coach that can both inspire fear and respect?

I dont want another SAWFT players coach, buddy buddy type. This teams needs to be pushed towards greatness.

Cowboys Eyeing Greg Roman?
December 31st, 2019 at 3:01pm CST by Zach Links
Some Cowboys officials have Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman in mind for the head coaching position, if it comes available (Twitter link via Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports). As of this writing, the Cowboys still have Jason Garrett as their head coach, so they have not requested an interview with Roman.

Bahahahahahahahhaahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhaha
Everytime a team has a good to great offensive season on defense or offense, teams rush to hire the guru behind it, the coordinator.
Well unless Roman is coming with Lamar Jackson... who cares.

Wink Martindale is respected and a great innovator. THAT hire would be just as great as hiring Roman...or Meyer. Meyer does concern me because he can be flakey...and has past health issues. As a long term hire, I hate it..because I don't think he will last more than 2-3 seasons.

I really don’t want a long term hire ever again unless that guy won something early in their Cowboy career.

Super bowl coaches don’t take ages to win one.

Id give the next guy 3 or 4 years tops.

Greg Roman would be a good hire and I can live with that. It will benefit Dak and the offense to add some life this stale but explosive offense.

First I was against Roman but the more I read on him the more I'm starting to like. He seems to have a good track record and a good man too boot. I would be more curious who would be his OC and DC.

We will waste more years just patching in a cycle of trail and errors.
A quick rebuild will be the best option with a new Coach new veteran quarterback and draft young QB.

He was good before Baltimore though.

He did well in Buffalo.

I know this story is bogus just based on this thread title. We aren’t a real franchise...who are these “some cowboys officials”?? It’s Jerry and Stephen. That’s it. Does Charolette have opinions on Greg Roman’s offense lol?

why do that?

we already have the number 1 offense.

our problems are the DC and ST coordinators and game planning.

I keep going back and forth on this guy, but honestly, I'm going to be happy with anybody new coaching this team. Just give me some change!

This team is soft **. They need someone that’s going to come in here and build a physical, tough, mindset. Mental and physical toughness is sorely lacking. You have a bunch of guys that worry about their brand. Can that be changed with Jerry at the top, I’m pessimistic.

but these guys need someone to drop the hammer.

if that’s Greg Roman, I’d be fine with it.

Unless a strong hc is also granted the power to hire and fire, it will be business as usual.
