Dak haters

So what are you saying give Dak 33 million with the tag and hope he gets better...is that your plan then?

You can't just conveniently ignore the money that's involved with Dak coming back.

Is that what you got from that sentence?

He is already a good QB with room to get better. The Cowboys did not finish any season with a losing record under his command. He made the playoffs twice and could do it again but for the inability of the coaching staff all along. Why not see how he will develop with a real coach?

Btw, if you think Jerry will somehow find a franchise QB in the draft, good luck with that. If they are going to chase for one in the offseason, prepare to pay more than Dak's tag if anyone should be available.

Where was that shut down defense when Favre threw 4 TD's in the divisional round against the Vikings?
How about the divisional round against the Packers, when Rogers threw for over 300 yards and 3 TD's in 2014?

Defense wins championships as the saying goes and the best defense Romo had in the playoffs was in 2007 IMO.
Where was Romo scoring 3 points at? Or on 4th and short throwing deep to Dez instead of picking up the first with Witten or Beasley who were open short.

Again people want to make excuses for certain players they like but blame others they dislike. Did the defense do Dak any favors this season, how about the playoff game against the Rams or Maher missing kicks.....

Don't waste your breath. They will never ever understand you. Even if Dak plays out of this world, the moment he overthrows a pass, he will be average to them. Why bother to tell them anything?
You make a great point!!!

What's funny it's those same guys are praising Wentz for beating only division rivals to make the playoffs but bash Dak when he completely destroyed those same teams......

I only watched the 4th quarter, he seemed to do what needed to be done to help win the ball game.

That being said..I didn't watch the first three quarters, and I'm not on the Herbert over Dak train either :D

That's completely foolish to say Dak has hit hits ceiling. Have you not seen any improvement from last season to this season? Even some of his biggest haters has seen it.
Also, he was a top-5 QB this year. Idk what more ceiling people want?

Smh, the Daktards have infected the draft forum.

Yeah, nevermind the Cowboys were 1-6 against playoff teams and Dak threw at least 1 INT against every one of them...and not a single TD against 3 of them.

I guess he needs more time to develop against playoff teams. Hey, we've been waiting for over 20 years now...what's a few more right?

THIS IS A GREAT POINT...if you ignore, you know, reality.

Dak absolutely torched Minny and GB, and almost everyone of those INTs was either off the hands of a WR or on a hail mary.

But yea, he's why they lost those games.

A contributing factor without question. You guys who stan and Cape up for Dak love to ignore he played like trash in the game when it was competitive.

And you like to make up unquantifiable things like "trash" and "competitive" b/c you don't know how to actually evaluate a quarterback.

Anyone who thinks that Dak was even part of the problem with this team this year, relative to other quarterbacks in the league, doesn't know what they're watching.

Plenty of QB's coming out with all the skills needed to play in the NFL.

Let's not forget that Romo was not even drafted. He could have led the Cowboys all the way like Kurt Warner, if he just had a better defense IMO.
And a different coach, and an OL that didn't ruin his career, and better RB's, and a GM who isn't batcrapp crazy.

He didn't play well with the game in the balance. No one on this team did. To say anything otherwise and act like he's above criticism is what grinds the gears of "people like me". He was right there with the rest of this team playing poorly.

"With the game in the balance" is the dumbest phrase ever. It's the same as Romo's "must-win game" nonsense. The only game Dak played poorly was Philly, and he was obviously hurt. Anything outside of that is nitpicking b/c you don't like him. You going to sit here and say that Romo was better than Brees? Because by every metric, he was better when the game was "in the balance."

And I'm not saying he's above criticism. But the criticism he gets on this board is wildly out of line and to a different standard than other NFL quarterbacks.

I'll say it over and over again. If you don't think Dak was one of the top QBs in the league this year, then you aren't watching games closely or don't actually know what you're watching.

this thread is more about Herbert than Dak,I feel he isn't worth the 17th pick in the draft and he won't be an upgrade on Dak.

Wrong. Matt Ryan, Phillip Rivers, and other quarterbacks have been crushed for having seasons like Dak's were they rack up passing stats yet perform subpar in big games. Or the team doesn't do as well as expected.

It's a double standard with Dak or Cowboys players who people stick up for. It always has been.

What's stupid is you thinking there's no such thing as different aspects of game flow.

Statistically Dak had a great year but all it added up to was a 8-8 season.

Who cares. Jameis just threw for 5k. He's at home just like Dak.

"subpar in big games." Translation: I don't know what I'm watching but they lost and I want to blame the QB b/c I don't like him.

The fact that you just compared Dak to Jameis is EXACTLY my point.

What makes someone a hater if they dont want to spend 20% of the cap on an average QB? Yes by all means always draft a franchise QB if you get the chance, even if you have only one already.
