6x SB > 1x SB, also was the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback coach when Patriots had the most potent offense in the NFL.

McDaniels sucked not only in Denver, but with the Rams as OC after the failed experiment at Mile High. Plus he tried to reproduce Spygate in Denver. McDaniels was OC with the Rams under Spagnola and they had like the 30th ranked scoring offense.

Guy is nobody without Bellichek babysitting him or making Half time adjustments for him.

He’s garbage and he also won’t have Dante Scarnecchia as an OL coach. Just because McCarthy sucks doesn’t mean he is good either.

McDaniels would bring true balance to this offense with ability to incorporate the running backs in the traditional run game and the passing game.

He would also make Blake Jarwin look like Travis Kelce. @Sarge

I am not sure about this. McDaniels sucked in Denver and McCarthy coached in 4 NFC Championships.

I think McCarthy is a more sure thing.

that was what, ten years ago? There’s no guarantee obviously but I feel like that experience helped his development. It’s not like he resurfaced the following year. He took his licks, left disgraced and bided his time. He’s not necessarily my choice, but I do think he will be a quality HC this next time

Yeah, and NONE of those super bowls can be credited to josh McDaniels. He's just another OC in a long line of OCs in NE that looked real good b/c they have Brady managing the offense. We saw in Denver that without Belechik and Brady, Josh is just an average football coach.

Hard to judge. Belichick / Brady will make you look good.

McDaniels>McCarthy>Garrett.

I’ll take either. There’s no scenario where Garrett stays. At least there shouldn’t be. But this situation looks like a charade for Jerry to sell Garrett. Things are shaping up to be another typical slap in the face decision from this front office.

McDaniels is solid as a OC, but not HC. McCarthy has been labeled unimaginative, so I don't really feel super awesome toward either.
