If the new HC likes Moore and can help guide him in a different scheme, fine by me. If Moore is part of a package deal to stay, then no bueno.

My main concern is that Kellen is Garrett 2.0 in the making and will be promoted when the new guy gets fired.

thats a lot of peoples fears

I am not against keeping them, but that needs to be the new HC's decision not Jerry's.

I agree. And I believe because of Jerrys reputation there will be some serious discussion about "control" between Jerry and who ever the serious candidate is before the papers are signed.

Jerrys antics have went on long enough and everybody knows it from the college level to the pros.

This is the 'meddling' that so many have wanted to deny for so long. It's right there in front of our faces.

a lot of fans will be happy to see the status quo stick around, mediocrity will win the day.

Is it not uncommon for a new "manager" to retain some of the previous staff? Especially if said manager actually likes said staff?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again..using Meyer as my example.

Meyer comes in, nails the interview, Jerry says "Ya got the job kid! Check out these guys!!". Urban interviews Moore, likes what he has and decides to integrate his playbook into Moore's.

Something along those lines. For all we know, Moore was choosing from JGs playbook, and wasn't allowed to venture off of the pages.

Honestly...I think that was part of the problem......more like Garrett forcing his plays on him inside the redzone...I could tell the difference between the JG playbook and Kellen's. JG stuff was garbage high school stuff....all curls..really??? I'll say it right now....If Kellen was unleashed w/ an accurate QB...we probably win this division for the next decade.

while i would love nothing more to see you proven wrong, to be honest, i dont even have a reason for that, other than your love for Kellen Moore, as much as i detest it, the first part you could be right, the second is fantasy and you know it. but credit to the first part.

I've really got no issue with a strong O coach teaching and mentoring Moore, Kitna, Colombo, and Brown.

We need. Stronger D and Special teams and more rub routes/ motion TE down the seam that Garrett seemed to avoid. From what Imunderstand he still had the overall say on gameplay first 15 plays

If Jerry wants to win he has to be able to give that up. I seriously dont see how jerry benefit with people believing he us a football genius.

Even had he won a SB with Garrett so what. Where people praise him more is on the business side, where it should stay.

No new coach will come in here with a full staff so you cant blame Jerry for wanting to stand by guys he likes and offers recommendations. Making reccomendations is one thing demanding they stay on staff is another.

Wait until ya read this - on the things he did to Tom Landry and family and why coach Landry preferred being a Giants fan instead of rooting for the plunger ---------
https://nypost.com/2013/10/31/why-tom-landry-died-a-giants-fan/

Not shocking....and in a lot of ways...how I feel. The team I grew up and cared for died in 1989. This....what we have now...is nothing like the team I grew up with.

I seriously don't think Jerry ever got that. All he saw was a way to make some money....and a way to get famous. :(

And I think his widow is right....no way Tom would want his name on that monstrosity of a stadium.

I have an issue with any head coach being told what assistants will be on his staff.

I have an issue with dumb fans thinking a new coach has immediate access to an entire staff of assistants of his choosing.

If I had to guess tonight? It's going to be Mike McCarthy. He's a name with a Super Bowl title to sell to the masses, and someone desperate enough to sign on for whatever bull**** Jerry insists upon. A guy with no other options if he wants to be a head coach again. And he's more of the same in what we just finally got rid of.

In all fairness, you'd hate to invest so much in developing Moore only to let another team benefit from it.

No reason to do something rash now when it can just as easily be handled 10 years from now.
