Don't blame him. Of course, as a fan that watched his tenure in Dallas I don't want him here either.

- As I type this the saints defense just scored a TD. After review, it should probably come back because the RB's knee was down. -

lol so a source of a source says this?

Journalism is really bad now. I remember when you reported something you have to have facts behind it or a name. Now all of the sudden you can lie and just say source. But now a source was told by another source.

Guess we will have to wait a week for the real scoop, eh?

I wonder if Dallas would talk to Stefanski. Based on rumors, probably not. Zimmer might tell him to stay the hell away from Dallas if you can. I know there is a lot of talk in this thread about there being only 32 HC positions in the world but you can add in some of the premium college spots too. Those guys get paid well and if they do reasonably, have a job for life. Regardless, if the top candidates always prefer another team opening due to Jerry then Dallas is always going to be picking through the trash heap for coaches. The more time passes, the more surprised we should be that he landed Parcells.

Wow! Zim IS serious here. He contract is up after 2020 and he's not willing to come to Dallas? He needs a medal that says, "I'd rather be broke than a Jones boy!"

Well considering he just beat the Saints in the dome, I highly doubt the Vikes are going to be firing him.

I think you can scratch his name off the list at this point.

Zimmer is another guy who was blamed for things not his fault. It's not a coincidence that so many good former coaches are staying the Hell away from Dallas.

Maybe, maybe not.......with the exception of an extra year on his contract his situation is similar to Garrett with certain post-season expectations. I'm not sure winning one playoff game changes much. For example, if they lose next week there are still questions they have to address since 2020 is the final year of his current deal. Extend or let him coach 2020 lame-duck. Vikes may want tact on a token extra year, similar to what the Steelers did with Mike Tomlin last year but is that enough. Think about it, if you're Zim, Vikes are only showing enough confidence to say we trust you another year or two BUT you have Cowboys willing to offer 5 years, what are you telling the Vikes? Damn right, either extend me long-term or fire me.
