One of many problems with hiring Garrett is he has no hand picked staff to bring with him. In 10 years he developed zero coaching tree or loyal capable assistants. That says a lot.

Garrett would get roasted by the media in NY. Dallas media has been so gentle and kind and tolerant. His milk-toast delivery backed by zero results will just get obliterated by the harsh NY press. NY makes zero sense for a HC with Garrett's personality. Sure- he played there and went to Princeton-- but cmon. The media will have a field day with him. If he thought the pressure here was bad-- he will get eaten alive up there.

They may have to work with the Giants on something at some point, so there is no reason to burn bridges. Plus, there is no reason to act like a prick toward Garrett.
