Not really sure why it matters. He won't be calling plays and it will be McCarthy's system. I guess it might could help Moore become the next hot head coaching name if the offense does well.

He's "leaning?" Eh, while the offense put up numbers, it did struggle at times. He should be tickled for the opportunity. That kind of attitude makes me want to show him the door.

This is my feeling as well. Moore gets to learn another system which is good for his future but isn’t it a step back for him to not be calling plays?

If he's as smart as they say he is, he might realize it's the best thing for him. He got to play calls in a limited offensive scheme and has some hits and miss. Now, work directly with McCarthy and improve his game.

it matters because McCarthy is looking to adapt and is a fan of Kellens play designs. Even if McCarthy calls the plays Kellens fingerprints will be very present. And we don’t have to watch him go elsewhere and realize his potential. Yet

It's also an opportunity to learn from the coach Bill Belichick called one of the toughest coaches he's ever had to try to beat.

That's got to count for something.

His college mentor wants him to take his spot at Washington. I get why he’s struggling with the decision.

right. Not like he’s feeling entitled, he’s got a chance to go home to a pretty excellent opportunity in its own right, vs staying in a situation that’s kinda murky

Moore's primary contribution to the 2019 offense was adding movement. The play designs were straight out of Garrett's playbook.

Maybe there'll be something of a chance for him to call plays at some point in the future if things go well? :)

Actually, I'm hoping this turns out to be the case. We'll see, in any event. It'd surely free MM to be the HC.
